Hi,im selling a 1970 chevelle malibu that is in really good condition. This isnt a frame off restoration but alot of new parts and time went into bringing this car back from the brink. Please review the before pictures. This car has NO BONDO!!!!! Floor pans and trunk are solid. The car is all metal, over a $10,000 paint job was invested alone.Per my painter feel free to bring a paint gauge for testing. The car was stripped down to the metal. It had a 350 small block ,we replaced it with a mild 454 big block.Car is very streetable.does not over heat.Starts right up every time.I would not hesitate to take this car on a 50 mile drive at any time. The spedometer and odometer both work.I am so confident with the paint that i am guaranteeing a 90 day chipping, cracking, peeling or bubbling. We have powerwashed the car and there were NO leaks anywhere. The car drives straight. It has a few creaks from being old.I am selling for a reasonable price just because the interior needs a little work. The headlights, high beams, turn signals, break lights, reverse lights and rear parking lights work. Here is a list of brand new parts that she has:
front tires, speedo cable and gear door and hood bumpers weather stripping trunk lid front bumper front lenses front and back seat covers new seat padding carpet headlight dimmer switch dash block off plate dome cover rear shocks headers mufflers pipes 3 core aluminum radiator chrome raditator top support billet overflow tank washer solvent bottle windshield wipers/original wiper arms in working condition spritzers front and rear windshield door handles locks emblems hood pins starter battery back seat armrest billet flex transmission tube air cleaner spark plug and wires door sills side mirrors All the heater knobs work but the heater doesnt come on.Needs minor interior work.Needs a radio,Feel free to ask questions.I am selling this car locally so i reserve the right to end the auction early.Reasonable offers accepted.I have a good rating On Sep-19-14 at 19:23:18 PDT, seller added the following information: i have the original front grill chrome pieces and there are new u-joints on the car. |

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech
Tue, 24 Dec 2013The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.
Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
