1970 Chevy Chevelle on 2040-cars
Kingston, Washington, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear
Make: Chevrolet
Drive Type: Auto
Model: Chevelle
Mileage: 100,000
Trim: Malibu
This is a project car. There is rust in the lower corners of the front fenders, lower areas in the rear quarter panels, around the trunk and rear window. The door rockers are in good shape as well floor boards. Trunk has some rust out but not too bad. I don't know much about the engine, but when I bought it, he told me that he drove the car after they dropped in a rebuilt Mild built 454. Then he took the inter wheel well out to replace it. So when I bought it, it needed the battery hooked up, heater hoses attached and linkage attached and adjusted. I checked the dip stick and the oil on it was clear and clean like the engine was new. That's what I know about the engine. This auction comes with New SS hood, New Front and Rear bumpers, New door panels and rear panels, New sheet metal for under rear window, New front wheel wells (Metal), 2 used SS gauges, used SS console. Reason for selling this car is that we are moving and it needs a new home. I also have this car on Craigslist and if I get a full price offer before the end of the action I will be cancelling this auction. Buyer to pay for shipping and a $500 non refundable deposit at end of action. Full payment to be made within 3 days of auction end. SOLD AS IS

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
