Hello I'm going to list this car to the best of my abilities. It was my fathers car and he passed away 5 years ago.7 year old restore and less than 2k miles since restored.

Its a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu (I believe it is a SS but can't prove it either way. He bought it and did all of this work believing it was) when he purchased it he had a 454 rebuilt and installed it with a automatic transmission. There is a small stall convertor installed.

The car is an A/C car and new air parts were installed 6 years ago and was never really used. I used it this last summer and had to install a can of Freon. The system worked well. I think all you will need to do is fix a small leak and charge. Blower motor only works on a couple settings.

Engine and engine compartment look great. The brake fluid was overfilled and left a spot on the booster. Hood hinges are weak. The engine runs great and sounds beautiful through the dual exhaust with chrome tips!!. Sometimes after it warms up it will die. It needs a new Carb or Carb rebuilt. Transmission shifts fine no known issues and the same with the rearend. There was a small spot in my garage floor but nothing to speak of. Battery was replaced 2013.Car always runs in temp never to warm. Power steering and a few chrome goodies.

Interior Carpet and seats were replaced during restore. The interior looks very nice with bucket seats and floor shifter. The dash pad has a couple of small cracks and vents could used replaced for appearance. After market tac and a separate set of gauges installed.

Exterior looks very nice from a few feet away that said there are flaws. Chips and a few small paint bubbles. Bubbles I noticed are on upper rear passenger quarter. I was disappointed about the paint job when it was done but by this time my father was sick. A few flaws in some of the trim.

It has Cragar S/S wheels and bf Goodrich tires. 4 wheel drum brakes, car cover in trunk pictures comes with.

This car is a good cruiser and a good Saturday car show ride. The a/c will make it very enjoyable.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
