2006 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC

I’ve owned this car since 2009

I bought it with 19,XXX miles, since then its had;

Oil change every 5,000 miles with Mobil One full synthetic oil (As suggested by GM)

Only premium 91 octane fuel from Chevron or Shell.

Car has had its share of cosmetic misfortunes since I’ve had it.

At around 30,000 miles I hit a dog going 55-60 on the highway which tore up my bumper and somehow cracked my radiator.  Radiator was replace but bumper was never repainted (See pictures) car has share of scratches and dings. It is mechanically sound though.

The majority of the miles on this car were racked up on commutes to school.

Linden to San Jose.

Carfax Available.

Recent service.

Catalytic converter was just replaced at Chase Chevrolet.

Replaced;

o2 sensors

Spark plugs

Fuel filter

MAF sensor

Intake manifold

Intake manifold gasket

(Basically parts relating to emissions)

Just passed smog in February so you wont need to smog it. (I have the certificate)

Car has K&N Typhoon Cold Air Intake (Runs rich during initial start due to MAF sensor not syncing up right away)

Runs normal with stock airbox.

Had aftermarket headers on it but I removed them for smog purposes but will include them.

Car does hold a branded title from first owner but there was no structural damage and airbags did not deploy and I have the carfax to prove it.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
