This is a Restored 1985 Corvette. It has new carpet , transmission , Seat covers and a Scoggins-Dickson motor. Everything was new about 5 years ago, and stored since. It has been stored in enclosed garage. It has been started about once to twice a month. All my car have been taken very good care of. More on this later.
NOW ABOUT THIS CAR.
This motor was built by Scoggings-Dickson Racing Motors in Tyler , Texas. It has somewhere around 425 to 450 HP. I never raced it , or had it on a track, but I have tried it out. It has 12 inch tires on It.. very good shape It WILL burn them about 1/2 way thru second gear. This is where I quit, just getting too old. It is automatic.and it has been rebuilt . I have been racing since 1959, and I know STRONG. It has Lambrogini doors . Red and white new seat covers, black carpet, and a very good Paint job.   The only thing, I know it needs is a little clear on front (wont show in pictures)  --OH HELL, I LIED > > IT ALSO NEEDS A VERY LOT OF GASOLINE. if you keep your foot in the motor... It shows 146551 showing,  but motor and Transmission have been rebuilt.
Now for others deposit of $ 500. in 24 hours of  close  and balance due in 7 days. I like paypal
I am 72, and like to collect cars. I now am too old to work on them since my last surgery.

The pictures show a lot of glare from the sun coming thru the trees.  The part that needs the little bit of clear does not even show.. Email me and I will send better picture.  The paint job is very good and pretty.  no scratches.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506

Thu, 02 May 2013

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.

Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
