Here is an outstanding 1971 Corvette Coupe in spectacular Ontario Orange - paint code 987; complimented with Deluxe Saddle Tan leather - trim code 420. The car's official production date documented by GM was 06/10/71 and subsequently delivered  to Spedding Chevrolet in Denver, Colorado. What makes this car special is it's low actual mileage (14,115); all of the gauges are original and have not been restored with exception of the clock. All interior vinyl is original; new carpeting, seating and console trim was replaced to give the car an as new appearance.

It was delivered with the following options: J50 Power Brakes, LS5 - 454 c.i. 365 hp engine, M21 close ratio 4 speed transmission, N37 Tilt - Telescopic Steering Column, N40 Power Steering, U79 AM-FM Stereo, ZQ1 Optional Rear Axle Ratio (3.08). I have not been able to determine if it was delivered with P02 hubcaps or rallye trim rings; both come with the car.

Number Matching absolutely! The engine is original to the car from it's birth date; TO 521 CPH with the serial number stamped in the pad as well. Transmission is also original to the car; P1E20B with the serial number also stamped into the casing. The rear axle is also original to the car and dated E-81. All manifolds are date correct to the car, one was replaced. Carburetor, Starter, Water Pump, Alternator and Pulleys are all date correct and original. The original frame stencil was visible and faithfully reapplied and reflects a fabrication date of 5-3-71.

The car has undergone a thorough nut and bolt frame off restoration. The pictures do not do the car justice; I am sure you will have questions regarding this absolutely beautiful automobile. Please call me at 970-396-1587 to discuss any details or clarifications.

Thank you, happy bidding!

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in

Sat, 15 Jun 2013

You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

Chevy shows much-improved 2014 Corvette interior in new video

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

If you want a closer look at what went into designing and building the interior for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, we've got just the thing. General Motors has released a new video detailing the cabin's evolution from conception to execution, complete with commentary from Ryan Vaughn, performance car interior design manager with Chevrolet. The quick clip details how manufacturing, engineering and design within General Motors worked together from the first sketches to ensure no compromises had to be made later down the line. How novel.
With plenty of hides traced with contrast stitching and available real carbon fiber trim, the cabin looks to be a few hundred miles ahead of the C6. Given how readily critics derided the previous generation for its cabin, the C7 should make writers work a little harder to find something to complain about. Check out the video below for yourself.
