For sale is a 1987 Chevrolet Corvette. It is candy apple red and in immaculate condition. It has a file for maintenance records. The engine, trans, radio, heat, air condition, brakes, etc. has been tested and is working properly. This vehicle has new Borla mufflers (sounds deeper than the stock mufflers). This vehicle has been repainted at a cost of over $8,000.00 (have records). This vehicle has been garage kept and covered. It has an $800.00 new stereo system. The original Delco-Bose stereo system also comes with it. It also has two sets of tires and wheels. The original tires and wheels also come with this purchase (original tire set shown in pictures). The rear department carpet pictures shows sun glare only and is "not" a reflective of fade next to the rear speakers. The new owner of this vehicle will be very proud to have one of the finest production vehicles ever produced. This could be a great Christmas gift to a corvette lover. This vehicle was purchased by a retired couple years ago. It has a clear title and car-fax. A $500.00 deposit will be required of the winning bidder within 24 hours. The balance will be due within 7 days of the auction, otherwise the $500.00 deposit will be forfeited. The winning bidder would be responsible for local pickup or shipping cost. I will, however, meet halfway up to 200 miles to deliver once final payment is made.

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild
Tue, 12 Feb 2013This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
