1967 El Camino in nice condition.  327 CI with Turbo 400 transmission.  Power steering and power (drum) brakes.  Car runs and drives great.  No mechanical issues.  Gauges, blinkers, lights, cigarette lighter, and wipers work perfect.

Motor has 11K on total rebuild and i have receipts on motor build.  This is not the original motor or transmission that came in the car.  This car originally had a 327 with a powerglide. The motor in the car now is a 1965 corvette 327 with block casting # 378287, deck pad on block reads FO224 HO, and head casting # 3782461.  The car does have the original rear end # CA 01 16 B 10 bolt.  Interior has new carpet, new door panels, and the seat was redone by previous owner and still looks new.  The windshield is new (old one had a small crack) with all new weatherstripping.  The car has no wiring issues, everything works like it should.  I believe the wiring is all new, but if not, then it is in pristine condition.  The front end is rebuilt with 5 miles on it, brand new shocks all the way around, new front tires and rears are about 70%.  Car has new paint, back to the original "N" paint code.  No rust issues with this car.  I did replace lower rear window channel.  Car retains most of the original trim and molding.

Here is what I have replaced:
Front & rear bumper (I still have originals and they just need to be re-chromed)
Side bed rails (still have originals and they could easily be redone).
Headlight bezels

The grill is original.  The only negative thing that I have found on the car is sometime in it's life, the drivers' side quarter panel was damaged but you can't tell by looking at the exterior of the car.  I have receipts for all of the parts that I have replaced.  Very nice car, but not totally restored.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me.  I will answer honestly.  I am not trying to hide anything.  There is no warranty and car is being sold in as is condition.

Have fun bidding.

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
