Up for your consideration is my 1968 CHEVROLET EL CAMINO SS 396 clone. This vehicle drives well and get thumbs up every where you go! Need to sell, all offers will be considered!! Engine: The engine is a Big Block 396. Runs and idles great! Transmission: The transmission is an automatic and shifts good with no problems Rear End: The rear end is a ten bolt. Exhaust: The exhaust is leagal and sounds great, now very loud. Interior: The interior is mostly new, new seat covers, and door panels, the carpet is black and in good shape. Paint: The paint looks good, older paint job but shines very well. Tires: The tires are new BFG's with maybe 5 miles on them mouted on 15" ralley wheels. Glass: All the glass is in very good condition, no cracks. This vehicle is a Very Nice Driver fires up fist time every time, get looks and thumbs up where ever you go. This vehicle has NO Warrenty, is sold "AS IS" Where is no warrenty expressed or implied. Will help with loading or will deliver within 200 miles of WacoTexas for an additional fee. Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war
Sun, 30 Dec 2012A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?

2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf
Tue, 23 Apr 2013The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.
