Nice driver quality 1970 el camino ss 396.Factory built as an ss at the Kansas city plant and has the"L" stamped in the trim tag.This has a period correct 402 big block and th400 trans.Has factory a/c and works well.Equipped with a 12 bolt chevy posi rear with 3:42 gears.Interior is absolutely in new perfect condition with everthing replaced including the chrome gauge carrier,dash pad,seat,carpet,headliner,etc.Body had both quarter panels and wheelhouses replaced along with a complete bed/reinforcement assembly.Other new parts include fuel tank,exhaust,driveshaft,etc.Originally had the warning lamp style ss dash,but was upgraded to the gauges,but still has the original speedometer.All of the wiring harnesses have been replaced.Needs some paint work,but the body is solid.Drive the car as is,or blow it apart for a re-spray.I do not have the time to work on the car so its time to sell.

Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.

As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
