This is a 1972 El Camino SS CLONE...YELLOW WITH BLACK STRIPES

It has:

  • 350 v-8 with automatic transmission with Flowmaster exhaust
  • Yellow and black exterior paint with SS stripes
  • Cowl-induction hood
  • Factory gauges
  • AM/FM Radio
  • Bucket Seats
  • Rally Wheels
  • Beautiful Black Vinyl Roof in EXCELLENT Condition
  • Odometer reads 38,171 ~ actual mileage is unknown

This car runs great...cranks right up. It has some flaws that are shown in the photos. These include a cracked windshield and an area of repaired rust that has been repaired on the front passenger side fender on the exterior paint. I have been the only owner for 8 years and the area on the fender has not gotten any larger. It has a oil pan gasket leak. There is a small tear in the headliner that can be repaired. The tires are new Challenger Sport and are in good condition. There is a tow-hitch on the rear. The truck bed has a protective liner in excellent condition. All the a/c components are present but air does not work. ALL lights-headlights, turn signals and brakes work good. It is very clean and looks a lot like the transformer car (bumble bee). This is a beautiful car and will DEFINITELY turn heads!

When I purchased this car I received another El Camino for parts. The car does not run and would be included in the bidding and is JUST for spare parts. It has no motor.

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
