1985 CHEVY GMC EL CAMINO  -- This is a really nice, clean and rust free El Camino. This came in on our insurance company contract with front end damage.  It runs and drives on our lot, and the Insurance company paid off $14,000. to owner. There is no rust on this El Camino. It needs a frame pull and a front end assembly, and the whole front comes off in one piece and is very easy to replace. It has a worked 350 with aluminum heads and intake.very nice car. This has a Holly 4 barrel carb, and dual exhaust. The front end should be the same as a Malibu car or wagon, and should be easy to find. The hood is still good, so you would need a walk off front minus the hood. The El Camino has power steering, power brakes, power windows, and Air conditioning. This was a nice clean vehicle that someone put a great deal of money into to make real nice. It looks to me that the previous owner had a built 350 motor and transmission installed, but kept it nice with all the ac, steering pump, and exhaust looking factory. Please bid to buy and good luck.                                                                 ***Pa salvage title.             ***I am fair, easy and honest to deal with and prefer to deal with the same.***Email anytime or call Mon-Sat 9-6 EST 215-465-5555  No Sunday calls.****READ BEFORE BIDDING**** IF YOU BID YOU ARE COMMITTING YOURSELF TO BUY THIS CAR***DO NOT BID ON THIS CAR UNLESS YOU HAVE THE MONEY IN YOUR HANDS RIGHT NOW.***IF YOU NEED TO ASK SOMEONE IF YOU CAN BUY IT,DO SO BEFORE BIDDING****EBAY KILLS US ON FEE'S SO I CAN ONLY DEAL WITH SERIOUS BUYERS

Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.

Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
