This a very rare vehicle and highly sought after. This is a very restorable car.
It does have its issues though that can be remedied. The original engine was a 350 ss it now has a 305. This engine was pulled and the waterjackets all flushed out with new soft plugs put in as they were rusted out. It has an Eldebrock high rise with a 4 barrel intake. The engine does run but idles high due to the linkage set up. The dual exhaust manifold on the right side has a leak due to a manifold bolt that has no hole for it to bolt into, it does bolt up right on the left. The rear axle is out of a mid eighties El Camino as is the steering coloum (which is loose probably needs replaced). The doors shut solidly but the windows rattle when you shut it(if they are down, prolably window guides). The rear view mirror needs to be put back on (thats it setting on the dash). The mirror on the passenger side door is gone. The chrome piece on the tail gate is missing. The mags are quite rusted. The tranny has a shift kit in it. It has new L60s all way round.($1000).
It will take a special person to turn this vehicle back into the beautiful beast it once was...maybe you are that person. Good luck bidding!

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs
Sun, 01 Dec 2013
The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild
Tue, 12 Feb 2013This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
