One of the most desirable collector car is now up for auction. A 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 425 HP 4 speed Black on Black 2 door hard top. This 3 owner Impala's restoration was finished in 2000, and has had only 70 miles put on it in the past 13 years. The frame off restoration started with a very nice original, 2 owner car, bought new in Wenatchee Washington. Originaly a true Black on Black, 409, 425 HP, 4 speed as it came from the factory. The 409 was rebuilt by Clem Smith a well known engine builder, and everything was original with the car but the air filter, It's not the factory black one. The engine starts easy, and runs strong. Transmission is the original 4 speed, and the rear end with its 456 gears also is fresh, and original. The body is straight, and only on spot on the right rear fender, low need eny work.  (No rust ever.) All body fits are good and doors close nice. The interior has all been redone, and notice the 7000 RPM Tack mounted on the dash, as they came in 1963. (Yes 7000 RPM for the 425 HP Engine.)  A new, in the box, Delco battery will come with the car, as dose a clean Idaho Title. One thing is missing off the car, and that is is the original horns that was misplaced and never found. This car speekes for it's self, as one of the most desierable collector cars ever. This 409 car is a must for any mussel car enthusiast. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping coats. We will help with loading on our end and in anyway we can. Please call Bill with questions. (208)750-0000

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
