1964 Chevrolet Impala SS. It has a 2 pump hydraulic system installed. Has 4 switches on the dash. 8 batteries that were purchased in March 2014. Only 7 are connected. Left rear cylinder and hose is disconnected so left rear does not raise or dump. Tires are worn and need replacing. Left rear tire has a slow leak. Edelbrock 4 bbl carb. Chrome inner fenderwells, hood hinges, hood bracket. Interior is dirty and some vinyl need to be glued down. Soundsteam screen and cd player. Kicker subs on rear deck. Paint shows chips and touchups. Hood needs adjusting. Trunk has a piece cut out of the emergency ground disconnect. Left rear quarter has damage from 3 wheel motion. Brake and tail lights arent working as well as dash lights. Maybe a fuse but I havent checked. Also turn signals in front bumper arent working. Good strong engine. Reinforced rear end. Looks like 14 inch cylinders in rear. Trans shifts hard. Brakes are weak. May need fluid. These are the issues that I can remember off the top of my head. Bubbling under the paint as seen in the pictures. Chrome extended a arms. Any questions please call me 501-944-0938. 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel destined for Chicago debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It's been a little over a year and a half since General Motors first confirmed plans to offer a diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze here in the United States, and we've now learned that the oil-burning compact will debut under the lights of the Chicago Auto Show in February. According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. For comparison, the similarly sized Volkswagen Jetta TDI is rated at 30/42 mpg city/highway, but as we found out in our long-term test of the 2011 model, hitting 50 mpg was a piece of cake.
Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI.
Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
