1971 CHEVELLE MALIBU 350 *ORIGINAL MILES* SUPER CLEAN
This car is almost perfect! It shows 66k miles and I believe those are original! All the trim and chrome and glass is all like new!!!! The dash has the original radio the carpet is original the door panels everything all the door jambs is clean and weatherstripping all looks new! The car was pulled out of storage and sent to the chevrolet dealer where a brand new 383 cubic inch ZZ4 aluminium headed motor installed! Then they topped it off with a brand new crate transmission! Tires are new and this car drives like a dream!!!! Only thing I found to be changed was the cowl induction hood! They also added new coil over shocks a new gas tank and a new 2 link in the rear! It's ready to run down the highway! Bad part: After digging it out of storage and updating all the drivetrain the young man was cruising down the highway and a cop rearended it. It was not turned into insurance. Back quarters are rolled up a bit but can be fixed. Frame is all solid and none of the floorpans are bent or seperated anywhere. All the body mounts are good and there is no weathering in the weatherstripping or in the body bushing or nothing!!!! This car is that clean! I have owned several chevelle's and this is by far one of the finest examples of an Original Malibu I have seen. With this motor the car glides down the highway! These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts
Wed, 27 Feb 2013There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
