This is a very nice Malibu. It's in excellent condition and like all my cars, it has been put through a very strict inspection. Tires, brakes, air conditioning; all excellent. It has a current Massachusetts emissions and safety sticker.  Hi I'm Dickie and I started out in the car business in 1974, the year I graduated from college. I always had a nice local following, so I opened an auto body shop and took the state damage appraiser licensing exam when it became mandatory in 1979. Since then I've worked with every and all insurance companies in Massachusetts. Some of the people I've met in the beginning, now hold high positions with the companies and call me when something nice is going to be sold .( I don't buy trade-ins or cars people are getting rid of ). I leased the garage to an excellent group of auto body and mechanics  experts who make sure everything is OK with my cars. So now I buy one car at a time, low mileage and under $ 5000.00. I only sell cars here so you don't have to search my feedback for someone who bought a car from me. Every feedback from a buyer is for a car like this one. No exceptions. ( I also have a long list of people who bought locally, because I use the local paper at the same time ). My wife and I drive these cars while they are advertised so we are sure everything is working properly. This car's engine is very responsive and the transmission shifts very smooth. The original metallic paint really shines, so much that you can see reflections everywhere in the pictures. When you buy from us, there are no " surprises " like paperwork charges or prep charges or title charges. I consider those things unnessesary and frankly insulting. If you buy a car from us. you can take your time finding a good deal on a transporter for example because we don't charge anything to store it for you. There also is no limit of the time it can be in storage here. This gives you the time you need to get the best deal even on plane tickets. ( we have two airports next to us and many customers fly in and drive home ) Please call me ( Dickie ) if you would like more information on this car, or you need to set up transportation, discuss offers etc. My wife Carol and I are available, at our home number. It's: 508 994-9206. Thanks and take care,  Dickie. P.S. click the picture on display and all pictures will enlarge.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting?
