If you are looking for a one owner, unmolested, near original, low mile, RUST FREE, clean 70's Chevy, then this one is for you.
Background:
I bought this car from the owners son 10 years after the owner died. It was sitting in a garage since his death. While going through the paperwork, I discovered a Jasper rebuilt engine had been installed in 1992 by a local Chevrolet dealer at 53,583 miles. I bought the car with 53,893 miles and at present, the odometer reads 54,472 miles. The owner took this car to a Chevrolet dealer for practically all repairs with exception of exhaust where the dealer sublet to Midas Muffler. Significant documentation was found in the glovebox to verify repairs, mileage, and chain of ownership. A very impressive and rare find.
Clean up:
I replaced the org. points distributor w/ HEI, battery, fuel pump, plugs and wires, and all four tires, treated the gas in the tank and sent it out to be thoroughly cleaned by a professional detail shop. It came back looking like a new car, however, somewhere in the process the radio knobs were stripped out so I replaced with new repro knobs.
General condition:
Clean interior, carpet is in great shape, seats are above average(no rips), headliner has 5 BB size holes from mice
Clean body, one small dent in upper right front fender (see pic), small paint chips behind left door (see pic), vinyl top is flawless, chrome literally looks brand new
Amazingly sound mechanically, stock exhaust(no rust through), Jasper re-manufactured engine with less than 1000 miles, A/C is all there but needs recharged, brand new tires on stock rims with orig Corvette style hubcaps, new battery(Interstate green), new style HEI distributor(org distributor is in trunk), org spare,
Bottom line:
Driving this car is like stepping back into the early 70's. If you would like to buy a nostalgic Chevy to go to cruise-ins, car shows, or just enjoy an evening ride, this car needs nothing and will turn heads wherever you take it. No worries, no disappointments.
THIS CAR IS COMPLETELY RUST FREE!

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.
Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works
Fri, 22 Mar 2013When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
