Up for sale is my 1974 Monte Carlo. I bought this car on Ebay over 7 years ago with big plans, but as time has gone by I've put off working on it time and time again and have come to the realization that it's time to let it go. I am the third owner of the car, it was purchased new in Indiana. I have the original bill of sale, the build sheet, owners manual and original keys with knockouts. The car is solid, but has some rust issues that need attention as you can see in the photos. It looks like it needs some patch panel work, although the paint is original and excellent on the car and it still has a beautiful shine. The interior is in good condition; the headliner is perfect, but the driver seat has a tear, and the dash board has been cut for a stereo. Also someone had cut the threads on the shoulder harness portion of the seat belts so only the lap belt is functional. This can most likely easily be repaired at an upholstery shop. The 145 horsepower 350 V8 runs and drives but is burning oil. My original plan was to pull the motor and drop in a crate engine and make it a nice cruiser. The trans shifts fine and is in good working order. I recently gave the car a tune up (new plugs and wires) and installed a rebuilt carb. I also replaced a corroded brake line and put new brake pads on the front. The tail pipe was also recently replaced and the radiator has been replaced by the previous owner. The original brown Landau top was removed because it was ripped and coming apart beyond repair. You can find replacement vinyl top kits on Ebay in black or white all day long. The car does have factory air conditioning but it is not working. It seems like the compressor isn't getting power. With a little work this could be a great car for Summer time cruise nights and it's still early in the season.

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option

Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
