Up for sale is a true survivor. A 87 Monte Carlo SS....this car has had a 350 truck motor installed which has had all the bearings crank oil pump, water pump and timing chain replaced in it....all new gaskets.....a aluminum Edelbrock performer intake and reman electric choke quadrajet by rochester installed....at a warmed up idle the car carries 60 pounds of oil preasure. Its had all the motor mounts and transmission mounts replaced. All of the A/C parts have been replaced from the condensor, evaporator, A/C pump, dryer, heater core and new lines. This car has really good sounding flowmaster duel exhaust with no cats......the radiator has been replaced new....the aluminum wheels are in great shape with new BFGoodrich tires all the way around...the front suspension was reworked replacing the wore parts.......brakes, rotors and bearings along with new rubber hoses, wheel cylinders and spring kits have been installed......the transmission has had a shift kit installed in the original 200 metric overdrive unit......I've installed a new Kenwood stereo in her too.....Look at the pictures of the car all the way around and you will find no rust underneath or on the body.....the T-tops don't leak but the door, roof rail and top rubbers are getting dry rotted......all the gauges and windows work on this car except for the automatic door locks....any other questions please feel free to call or text Greg at 573-576-8776......a five hundred dollar non refundable deposit ius due at the end of this auction......we will assist buyer in the shipping process but is not necessary as this car is ready for a long trip......this car is being sold as is with no warrinties expressed or implied

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car
Thu, 14 Feb 2013It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.
