20 years has gone by quick! I am finally selling what was once my dream car. "Davy" is a 1963 Chevy Nova II. I received him as a birthday gift when I was 16. He is a west coast car and although I am currently located on the east coast-he has not been driven out here. Straight. Straight 6 (250) automatic-to the best of my knowledge he is all original. Air shocks. There is some rust coming thru, but not much as you can see in the pictures. Interior is orginal-no rips or tears as you can see. Original floor mats. Very beautiful but needs some work-a fresh coat of paint would go a long way. Runs and drives, has very stale gas that is 10 years old so you will need to empty it out, can drive it on a trailer by putting gas in the carb. I moved him around a few times this weekend in my driveway while I was getting ready for my garage sale, no problems. This has been garaged for 20 years. The pictures show that the trim is missing, but I do have it-it's inside the trunk. The car is complete with extras. No radio is installed, but the original one is inside the trunk. Non smoker. I do believe I am the 5th owner. Needs paint
This would be a lucky score for someone. I am moving out of state and I thought I would just throw him on to see if I got a good offer. If not then I will tow him with me on Thursday afternoon when I leave. If you would like to take a peek at him then you can text me at 570 856 6368 and we will work out a time. Please see him by Wednesday-like I said I am moving out of state on Thursday so if a sale is going to occur it needs to be by then. Oregon Title. I am not interested in low ball offers-I've held onto him this long, I can hang onto him longer. I'm not interested in looky loos-there are enough of those on Craigslist.
I reserve the right to end the auction early. This is listed on a few local sites and I do have interested parties-but frankly you aren't that interested until you show me cash.
Paypal only for the deposit (non-refundable) of $200. The remainder is due IN CASH upon pick up. Pick up is to be on Wednesday or Thursday (Oct. 3rd) only. NO EXCEPTIONS. I am moving and will not be around. This is the only opportunity you will have. This will not be relisted. If you have any questions please try calling me since I will be extremely busy the next couple of days buttoning things up for my move.
Thanks you for looking and happy bidding!

Why the Corvette's Performance Data Recorder can be illegal in some states
Fri, 26 Sep 2014The Performance Data Recorder with Valet Mode available on the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray seems like a fantastic tool for many owners. Whether they are taking 720p video while lapping the track in their new 'Vette, or just want to protect their purchase from inconsiderate joyriders, the system offers a lot of functionality in one package. However, one of the PDR's features might get buyers in trouble with the law, and it has nothing to do with recording some illicit high-speed driving on a favorite back road. The problem hinges on the various state laws concerning a person's right to privacy.
According to a letter posted by Jalopnik, Chevy dealers are asking 2015 Corvette owners not to use the Valet Mode portion of the PDR because it records audio in the cabin, in addition to performance specs. That's a problem because privacy laws vary from state to state with some requiring just one side's consent to tape sound and others requiring all parties to agree. According Jalopnik, 15 states mandate everyone's permission beforehand, but it's not clear whether these numbers are up to date. (Actually, the report varies, saying 13 states in some places and 15 in a list.)
According to the letter, Chevy is already working on a software update for the near future to rectify the issue. It's possible that simply adding a warning to drivers and the ability to turn off the audio recording function in Valet Mode might solve the problem. Obviously, this doesn't preclude Corvette drivers from using the performance aspect of the PDR, and owners are free tape lap after lap at the track.
GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
