Danvers, Massachusetts, United States

This is a rare Canadian built example of a 1967 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport Hardtop. Full documentation is available for this vehicle through General Motors of Canada Limited. I have a partial documentation on it. Please see second picture. You cannot get documentation on US built cars, unless it was saved when new.

This Super Sport model is 1 of only 214 produced in Oshawa, Ontario Canada.

Back in 1967 the original retail for a 1967 Chevy Nova SS was approximately $2,487.00. Today the NADA lists a low retail as approximately $12,250.00, and average retail as approximately $33,600.00 and a high retail as approximately $46,400.00.  Go to NADA.com and pump in your zip code and see for yourself.                .

The car is currently titled and registered in Massachusetts with a current inspection sticker and can be driven anywhere, please come see and drive for yourself. Most things are original to the car with the exception of the current V8 motor and the few after market parts. The motor is a 1973 Chevrolet Corvette 350 block with Comp cams 262H cam and 1968 Chevrolet 327 heads. The transmission is the original 2 speed power glide with the original 10 bolt rear end. Not sure if this was a Canadian option or standard back then, but it has multi leaf springs in the rear. There are some differences between the US and Canadian built cars. Call me if you would like to know more.

The pictures were taken on 10/24/13. Please feel free to click on the pictures and email them to yourself so you can zoom in and better see all aspects of the car.

Things that are worth noting or that could be done to this car:

The paint and the body are in ok shape in most areas. It has an older repaint of the very rare original Tahoe turquoise LL code option color of the car. Please look closely at the existing paint and body on the driver’s side lower door and lower portion of the quarter panel behind the door. The lower portion of the driver’s door and rear quarter panel should be skim coated and repainted. The carpet is faded. There is, approximately, a dime sized hole in the original headliner on the passenger’s side close to the sun visor. Please look closely at the original seats because they do have rips on the top outside bolster seams. But there are no rips or tears on the seat bottoms and backs. There is less than typical rust through on the lower chassis cross members, floor areas and also below the front inner rocker. The tires are ok, but do have some dry checking. Missing the lower SS anodized aluminum trim. Brakes need to be bled for a firmer pedal. Heater works great, has original front and rear seat belts, still retains the original beautiful console and shifter, original tinted windows and back glass.

After market things that it has or were done in the past:

Edelbrock 1405 carburetor, Edelbrock performer intake, Comp cams 262H cam and lifters, short water pump, heater hoses, vacuum hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses. Mallory unilight distributor, Crane fire wire 25 ohm ignition wires, Jacobs magnetic induction coil chrome, stainless steel flex fan, no name valve covers and air cleaner, Jacobs electronics opti timer controller, long tube exhaust headers with 2 1/2" exhaust, battery cables, fuel tank, fuel sending unit, headlights, Power Master high torque starter.

If you are serious about this vehicle please call with your concerns. For questions please email thru ebay messaging or call 1-978-808-7771 or 1-978-750-8834.

Note: For the person buying this vehicle and for extra fees I would make available new & used factory and aftermarket parts, too many to list all, but here are just a few, Heidts super ride II front end with stainless control arms and chrome coil over shocks, this savings could translate to money off the car auction. May let go of a Chevy II Nova block with crank and 194 fuellie heads. Also have a 1963 327 Corvette block, if interested. You would need to inquire for other parts. Please call with your needs. Thanks.

I have owned many of these 1966 and 1967 Nova Super Sport cars over the last 35 years and I have never owned or seen another Canadian 1967 Nova SS like it.  Only 214 of this model were made in Canada.

Please be aware that in 1967 approximately, only 10,100 Chevrolet Nova Super Sports were produced.

A rare, unmolested, documented, true 1967 Nova Super Sport, probably does not come up often, or if at all. Here's your shot at it. Good Luck. These cars will soon be 50 years old and we all know what will happen to the price then, don't we.

Can have it stored locally if needed, please ask your questions early, not at the last hour.

Thank you.

Please look at my selling feedback and see the previous vehicles, as well as other items and parts that have been sold in the past, and the buyers that were very happy with them.

Again Please Note:

This 1967 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport is 1 of only 214 (117 vin) and one of 645 of both the 117 and the 118 1967 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport models, ever made in Canada.

All vin.117 cars are Super Sports, all vin. 118 cars are Super Sports. The 1967 Nova SS came standard with an L6 engine, the 194 L6 or 230 L6,  options for the V8 were also available, 283 or 327. Approximately 10,100 1967 Nova Super Sports were made. Approximately 8,200, 118 cars were made, approximately 1,900, 117 cars were made. of which 431, 118 1967 Nova Super Sports and 214, 117 1967 Nova Super Sports were built in all of Canada. The only 2 places that built these cars were the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada plant and the St.Therese, Quebec, Canada plant.

These were the plants in the US that made them also. Atlanta, GA, Baltimore, MD, Southgate, CA, Flint, MI, Framingham, MA, Janesville, WI, Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles/Van Nuys, CA, Norwood, OH, Pontiac, MI, Arlington, TX, St.Louis, MO, Tarrytown, NY, Willow Run, MI, Wilmington, DE, Fremont, CA, Oakland, CA, Bloomfield, NJ

Please look close at the pictures and notice the unusually good factory gaps and seams on the doors, fenders and quarters. And also the depth and detail of the areas that need to be addressed. I believe this is a rare car and good opportunity for somebody who just wants to drive around in a 1967 Nova Super Sport.

You will not believe, or find another set of tail lights that perfectly match the chromed pot metal die cast rear trunk Super Sport Molding, because the tail lights are exactly that, chromed pot metal die cast. That is just another one of the differences between the US built and Canadian built 1967 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport. The US built tail lights are clear , anodized aluminum only. The cigarette lighter has an amber lucite knurled ring around the bezel, Canadian only and the list goes on.

Please note there are a lot of Novas on ebay that have trim tags and Vin tags that are different from each other. Before you start spending your hard earned money on these cars, make sure your trim tags and your Vin tags match. For instance, 118 Vin to 118 trim, 117 Vin to 117 trim, 116 Vin to 116 trim, 115 Vin to 115 trim, 114 Vin to 114 trim, and so on and so on. And make sure your titles concur with those tags.

I may be willing to sell the car for $17,999.99 without the front bucket seats, front and rear seat belts, and both die cast tail lights, before a bid takes place, please give me a call if this suits you. otherwise Good Luck and Happy Bidding!

If you like, and or, want this car please, take a deep breath, pick up the phone, and call me. I will not bite you. It's that easy. Who knows, some day you may be glad you did.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
