1971 Chevrolet Nova Race Car on 2040-cars
Dalton, Wisconsin, United States
This is a 1971 Chevrolet Nova Race Car - Great Classic Car
Very well built 468 Big Block Chevy Engine (roughly about 550 + horse power) Edelbrock High Rise Aluminum Valve Covers Dart Aluminum Intake Holley Double Pumper Carburetor Accel HEI Super Coil Flow Master Exhaust Chrome Pulleys and Accessories Electric Fan Electric Fuel Pump Hooker Super Competition Headers 350 Turbo Transmission (New) 3400 Stall Converter 12 Bolt Posi Rear End with Chassis Engineering Rear Suspension Superior axles, gears and spool Crane Roller Rockers Transmission Cooler Fuel cell in the trunk Monster tach with shift light Ratchet quick shift with reverse lock out *New Solid Roller Cam * The Transmission and Converter are brand new as well as the front shocks * New Battery * New 4 inch Goodmark Cowl Induction Hood with new trim on hood * All new lug nuts of Weld wheels with new front tires and slicks on the back This car is from Arkansas and a very nice car. This is not a show car. I would consider it to be a 10 foot. Car is very presentable. * Nova comes with a brand new interior - seats, carpeting, door panels, headliner, dash pad, etc. Car can easily be made streetable. Headlights, taillights and markers are all in it - they just need the wiring to be hooked up. Needs alternator hooked up & wired. I have a chrome alternator that will come with the car. And you would need to take the slicks off the back and put 2 street tires on it. Engine runs on racing fuel. ** I have a lot of money in the motor. The best of everything put into it. About $8000 or more in the engine, transmission and rear end alone Would consider possibly selling without the engine. Great car for a collector or just someone who wants to go racing or to have a good street car. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time without notice, as I have the car listed locally also. |

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

Chevrolet Camaro in Korea - Click above for high-resolution image
There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
