1974 chevy nova,   built 350, 6 speed manual transmission, strange engineering 4.56 9" rear with 4 wheel disc brakes. Aluminum heads, Comp cam, roller rockers.  Edelbrock intake, carb, water pump and timing gears. Be cool aluminum radiator, MSD ignition. Headers to 2 1/12 inch dual exhaust with glasspacks (car is LOUD!!)  Power steering and power brakes. Have owned car for 9 years, driven for cruises during the summer, car is on the road and inspected. Car is quick, goes straight, and has plenty of power. Not a highway car due to low gears. Interior is in excellent condition, dash mint (nos part), auto meter pro comp gauges (water, oil) and tach with shift light.  Everything works..heater, wipers and washer, turn signals, horn, lights, etc.  Front bumper, cowl hood (pin on)  and deck lid (bolt on)  are fiberglass. Car has 68-69 nose. Boyd aluminum cragar wheels, 15x7 front, 15X8 rear.  Recent tires all around. Full goodmark floors replaced, por-15 painted with dynamat type material. Door pins and bushings replaced..  The bad; Car needs paint and body work...this is how i bought it 9 years ago.. front fender has rot hole on lower bottom, paint peeling around windows, tail panel should be replaced .. passenger quarter was patched and is in primer. Speedometer does not work because the 6 speed trans has an electronic (not cable) output. There is a part called "cable X" that adapts the electronic to cable signal.. Car has no choke and must be warmed up when starting for first time, this is not at all a show car, its a driver to have fun cruising around with.. ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING!! NO WARRANTY, SALE IS FINAL, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE BIDDERS TO SEE CAR IN PERSON IF POSSIBLE. Located in Plymouth, MA. Selling because I want a Camaro..Car for sale locally, so I reserve right to end auction early.  Buyer completely responsible for shipping. Clean title.

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.
