POWERTRAIN

This Chevy is powered by a 350 Motor with mild cam. It is fueled by a Holley 600 carb, with electric choke.  The intake is a Elderbrock High rise Aluminum intake, Billet vavle covers and air cleaner, new stainless dual 2 1/2" Flowmaster Exhaust, and tailpipes out the rear of car. The car has recently had newer 8.5 plug wires, Accel HEI distributor, new battery, new alternator, new starter, new belts, new hoses, and all new fluids front to back.  The trans is a newly rebuilt 350 turbo with shift kit. The rear is stock with 3:55 gear. The car runs very strong, and is a blast to drive.

EXTERIOR

This Chevy has a very slick paint job, on a solid, 77K mile body. The car was professionally painted a few years ago with PPG base coat clear coat, it has been garage kept and still shows mirror like reflections as can be seen in the pictures. I would rate the paint a 9.5 - 10. All gaps and fitment of panels are nice, doors open and close easily. All door, hood, and trunk jams finished out nice. The undercarriage is very solid. The floors, frame rails, body braces, trunk pan, rockers are all very rock solid.  All glass and trim around glass is very nice. The front window has some minor scatches on passenger side, hardly noticable.  All weatherstrip is very nice as well. Chrome bumpers and emblems are in very nice condition.  The Nova has a very nice set of powder coated factory steel wheels with correct dog dish hub caps, and newer tires with plenty of tread.

INTERIOR

This 66 has a very clean interior. The front and rear seats are free from any rips and tears and are in great condition. Carpet is new. Headliner is new. The door panels are in great new condition as well. The dash and dash pad are very nice also.  It has a nice set of original GM seat belts, and original spare tire with jack. The car has a Pioneer Cd player, with rear 6 X 9  speakers, and Ipod or MP3 ready stereo that sounds awesome.  All lights, gauges, and heater controls work as they should.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.

GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
