This is a 1958 Chevrolet Apache pickup body sitting on a 1993 GMC 1500 frame. All of the electrical, mechanical, and suspension are 93 model. The truck runs great and handles like a new one, the engine is a 350 vortec with throttle body, it has about 12 k miles on it. The transmission is a 4L60 with about 5 k miles on it.

This could be a daily driver for someone or a project that has a great foundation. There is some rust on the body like lower front fenders, lower doors, cab corners, and the bed. The seat is original but not in bad shape for 50+ years of abuse. The gauges work except for the temperature, I think it just needs a new sending unit, truck gets about 15 mpg and cruises down the interstate at 70+ mph no problem. I just put new rear taillights on today, sorry no pic yet. There is a trailer hitch included, and yes you get strange looks when driving on the interstate and towing a trailer with this truck, mostly thumbs ups.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
