IT HAS BEEN APPRAISED BY A CERTIFIED , INSURANCE APPROVED APPRAISER. HE APPRAISED THE TRUCK AT $57,000.00. THE ENGINE IS A 350 CRATE ENGINE. WHEN INSTALLED, THE ORIGINAL OWNER DIDN'T "LIKE" THE WAY IT SOUNDED. THE HEADS, VALVES, CAMS,TIMING CHAIN, ETC., WAS ALL REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH EDELBROCK PARTS. THE VALVE COVERS, INTAKE MANIFOLD, 4 BARREL CARBURETOR, AND AIR FILTER ARE ALL EDELBROCK, AND CHROME PLATED. AN ELECTRIC FAN CONTROLS THE RADIATOR COOLING. THE BODY WAS TAKEN OFF THE FRAME. IT WAS BOXED, ACID DIPPED, BEAD BLASTED AND POWDER COATED. ALL BEARINGS AND BUSHINGS WERE REPLACED IN THE STEERING AND SUSPENSION ON RE-ASSEMBLY.THE FOLLOWING PARTS, ASSEMBLIES, OR, COMPONENTS ARE CHROME PLATED:
ENGINE, INNER FENDERS, ALL STEERING AND SUSPENSION, INCLUDING STEERING GEARBOX, A-FRAMES COIL SPRINGS, SHOCKS, HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS, AND BRAKE ROTORS. DRIVE SHAFT, EXHAUST SYSTEM,REAR AXLE, SPRINGS, SHOCKS, HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS, GAS TANK, BRAKE DRUMS. ALMOST ALL THE TRUCK IS CHROME EXCEPT THE BLUE PAINTED PARTS.

THE BACK OF THE CAB, AND THE FRONT OF THE BED AND TOPPER ARE REMOVED. TWO 15 INCH SUBWOOFER ARE MOUNTED ON A PARTITION ABOUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BED. THERE ARE 18 MIDRANGE AND TWEETERS IN THE CAB. THE SUBS ARE DRIVEN BY A 1200 WATT KICKER AMP, AND THE OTHER SPEAKERS ARE POWERED BY A DOUBLE 625 WATT KICKER AMP. THREE LARGE DRY CELL BATTERIES ARE AMPLE POWER FOR THE HYDRAULICS AND AMPS. GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech
Tue, 24 Dec 2013The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.
Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
