I HAVE A 1996 EXT CAB CHEVROLET S10 4 WHEEL DRIVE. THE TRUCK IS REALLY CLEAN AND AND TO BE A 1996 I DONT THINK YOULL FIND ONE MUCH BETTER. THE TRUCK HAS A 4.3 V6 ENGINE,AUTO TRANS,AND PUSH BUTTON FOUR WHEEL DRIVE.IT ALSO HAS AFTER MARKET RIMS AND TIRES,TOOL BOX,CD PLAYER,NEW A/C SYSTEM. THE INSIDE OF THE TRUCK STILL LOOKS LIKE BRAND NEW. THE SEATS HAVE NO TEARS,RIPS AND THE DASH IS NOT FADED OR CRACKED. THE CARPET IS IN GREAT SHAPE AS WELL AS THE HEAD LINER. THE BODY IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AND THE PAINT IS IN GOOD SHAPE, ALTHOUGH THE HOOD AND THE TOP OF THE TRUCK DOES HAVE SOME FADED SPOTS. THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE 4X4 IS REALLY TIGHT WITH NO NOISES. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE FOUND ON THE TRUCK IS THE BUTTONS FOR THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SOMETIMES STICK. IF YOU PULL THE BUTTONS OFF IT WORKS GREAT. Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16

The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.

Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war

A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
