HELLO AND WELCOME!!

You are looking at a beautiful Suburban 4x4.
I bought this truck back in December in New Jersey when I decided to move to California with my family.
At the time I had a minivan, but needed the extra room and towing capacity to move across the country.
Talk about reliability!! We drove near 3000 miles with no issues what so ever, it drove great and the 4X4 came in handy in Iowa where we got hit with a bad snow storm.
Now that we are in California and Gas here is in the $4.00+ range, and we really don't need anything this big or powerful, it's time to go!

THE GOOD!
This truck has custom 20 inch Chrome wheels (Look Great on it!) and was well taken care of by the previous owner, he also added Magnaflow Exhaust and it SOUNDS GREAT!! for a Northeast Truck it is in fair shape.
Right before the trip I changed the front pads and disks on the brakes, FULL TUNEUP (plugs, wires, plugs, oil, trans. oil, gas filter, K&N Air filter).
Truck drives great! Pulls strong, Shifts great!
Truck had no tow hitch so I installed one my self (see in pics) and I also installed a set of fog lamps for the trip (nothing fancy but do a great job at night).

THE NOT SO GOOD...
Truck is overall in decent shape for the year and miles, but there are a few issues...
Interior - Carpet is in pretty bad shape and would need replacement because the stains on it, it didn't bother us for the trip but it's up to the new owner to decide, The seats are in nice shape Except for the front seats that are torn pretty bad, I bought the covers you see in the pictures.
Exterior - Has it's share of dents and scratches you would expect from a 17 year old truck, overall I would say it is in better than average condition, but it does have a few spots where rust is starting to show, the quarters where you would expect, and above the windshield as well (please see pics.)
A/C doesn't work, not sure what the issue is.

THE VERDICT - This is a nice truck for the money, I don't expect to get a lot of money for it since it is 17 years old and over 200K miles, but IT DOES RUN GOOD, and looks ABOVE AVERAGE in my opinion, therefore I believe I am pricing it right, based on my research.
You are welcome to come see it, test drive it, I am in Hilmar, CA just South of Turlock.

This truck is in California with a New Jersey Clear Title.

This truck has lots of life left and still looks very nice, it's a shame we have to sell but we need something more fuel efficient since I will be driving about 30 miles to work everyday.

LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK!!
BID WITH CONFIDENCE!
I TAKE EBAY SERIOUSLY PLEASE DO THE SAME AND ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING!

Thank you!

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
