2009 - Chevrolet Suburban on 2040-cars
Millsap, Texas, United States
2009 LS Suburban, very clean and a good value This was one of our fleet cars I have been driving for the last few months, good vehicle for moving people or cargo and good price. Exterior is clean, has a few scuffs and scratches from normal wear on a 5 year old car, the ones you can see are in the pictures. There is a small scuff by theleft rear tail lamp, front bumper, left front fender and a few small scratches on the hood and the plastic trim is peeling on the steering wheel. I always try and disclose everything as you can see from my feedback. Interior is LS trim cloth and has the optional seating for 3 in the front seat as well as the middle seat, total for 8 people! the car has never been smoked in and the interior is above average for the age and miles of this truck. Options include XM radio, Bluetooth, 6-way power driver seat, rear AC controls, On-Star, and running boards. Engine is the 5.3 FLEX FUEL V8, and options include, heavy duty trailer package, with oil and trans cooler, 3.42 locking rear diff and 160 amp alternator. Vehicle was just serviced and tires replaced. With the cost of gas dropping and the ability to use E85, I filled up for 60 recently! Comes with books, 2 keys and remotes.

Chevrolet Camaro in Korea - Click above for high-resolution image
There once was a time when Daewoo was one of the biggest companies in South Korea. It was larger than both LG and Samsung, and second only to Hyundai. But these days the name is all but gone.
Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
Consumer Reports criticizes small turbo engines for misleading performance, fuel economy claims [w/video]
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Consumer Reports has taken aim at at small-displacement, forced-induction engines, saying the powerplants don't manage to deliver on automaker fuel economy claims. Manufacturers have long held that smaller, turbocharged engines pack all power of their larger displacement cousins with significantly better fuel economy, but the research organization says that despite scoring high EPA economy numbers, the engines are no better than conventional drivetrains in both categories. Jake Fisher, director of automotive testing for Consumer Reports, says the forced induction options "are often slower and less fuel efficient than larger four and six-cylinder engines."
Specifically, CR calls out the new Ford Fusion equipped with the automaker's Ecoboost 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The institute's researchers found the engine, which is a $795 option over the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder, fails to match competitors in acceleration and served up 25 miles per gallon in testing, putting the sedan dead last among other midsize options.
The Chevrolet Cruze, Hyundai Sonata Turbo and Ford Escape 2.0T all got dinged for the same troubles, though Consumer Reports has found the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the BMW 328i does deliver on its promises. You can check out the full press release below. You can also read the full study on the Consumer Reports site, or scroll down for a short video recap.
