THE PERFECT VEHICLE FOR BUSY FAMILIES
Active families need a large SUV with the capability to easily handle everyday needs — soccer practice, dance
class and carpools. Plus they need the versatility to take friends to an all-inclusive resort for a spa retreat, to
a couples' night out at an upscale eatery and to pack up the crew for a quick trip to the cottage. Suburban is
ready for anything.
The all-new 2015 Suburban is the large SUV that features a beautiful interior with available power-release
second-row and power fold-flat third-row seats, and up to 8,300 lbs. of towing muscle†, while offering best in
class 2WD fuel economy — an EPA-estimated 23 MPG highway†. And no matter how far from home, available 4G LTE
Wi-Fi keeps you connected to what matters most.
Suburban also provides more cargo space than Toyota and Nissan and seating for 9 is available on LS models, so you
can bring your family, some teammates and all the gear they need.
Suburban features a hidden rear wiper ingeniously tucked under the rear spoiler at the roofline.
The all-new Suburban was designed to make a striking first impression. Bold styling and an athletic,
connected-to-the-road feel set Suburban apart from the crowd.
Details include an available standard projector-beam headlamps and rear LED taillamps, plus a hidden rear wiper
system tucked under the rear spoiler at the roofline.
Suburban also offers available power-retractable side assist steps with perimeter lighting, which help passengers
get in and out more easily and safely. You'll also enjoy the convenience of available keyless entry and push-button
start, which allows you to enter and start Suburban with the touch of a button.
Choose wheels that reflect your sense of style
When it comes to the wheels on the all-new Suburban, you have choices — exceptionally beautiful choices. Suburban
LTZ is outfitted with your choice of standard 20-inch polished-aluminum wheels (available on LT), available 20-inch
chrome wheels or available 22-inch painted-aluminum wheels† with chrome inserts that add a stylish accent. LS and
LT models feature standard 18-inch bright machined-aluminum wheels.

FINE CRAFTSMANSHIP THROUGHOUT
The quietest Suburban interior ever
Creating a quiet cabin environment for the driver and passengers was a major focus. Suburban features an
acoustic-laminated windshield and inlaid doors with triple seals to help reduce wind and exterior noise in the
cabin.
But the noise-reduction efforts don't stop there. They include isolating noise in the engine compartment and using
acoustic wheel liners to absorb road and stone-throw noise. Engineers also added exterior/interior dash insulation
and a thicker floor barrier in critical areas to isolate exhaust and underbody noise.
Storage wherever you look
Suburban is a storage expert. Look no further than the center console, which is large enough to fit a laptop
computer or hanging files. Plus, door storage areas have been maximized to allow room for water bottles, umbrellas,
maps and other small items. Behind the third row seats, there is a hidden underfloor storage area. Throughout the
cabin, Suburban also features up to 15 cup holders for drinks of almost any size.
Plus, the 8-inch diagonal color touch-screen slides up to reveal a lockable area behind the display with space for
cell phones, wallets or other valuables.
A multitude of seating options
Whether you're hauling kids or cargo, you'll enjoy the convenience of available power-release second-row and power
fold-flat third-row seats — the fastest available power-release second-row and power-folding third-row seats of
any competitor — and the versatility of a flat load floor for easy storage. With the second- and third-row seats
folded flat, the all-new Suburban large SUV offers 121.1 cu. ft. of cargo space†. Suburban LTZ models also
feature standard heated and cooled perforated leather-appointed front bucket seats and a heated steering wheel that
provide added comfort.
Cargo Management System
Suburban features a unique Cargo Management System with hidden underfloor storage to keep cargo neat and organized.
The bins have reconfigurable dividers that prevent items from shifting while the vehicle is in motion.
Handsfree Programmable Power Liftgate
A sensor under the rear bumper allows you to open the liftgate with a gentle kicking motion—which comes in handy
when your arms are full of groceries. The programmable power liftgate ensures that you'll worry less about the
liftgate hitting a garage door or being out of reach.
Chevrolet MyLink† 8-inch color diagonal touch-screen
Customize your driving experience by arranging the icons and features on the available 8-inch diagonal color
touch-screen. The interface allows you to touch and swipe on the screen just like you do on your smartphone, or you
can see your selections on the Driver Information Center. In Valet Mode, the lift-up screen is passcode-protected
to help keep valuable items safe and securely out of reach behind it.

commercial-free programs with the 3-month trial of SiriusXM Satellite Radio†. The latest Chevrolet MyLink Radio
even allows you to store up to 60 favorites, including radio stations, contacts, destinations, music and other
media. All that music will sound even better thanks to the available Bose® Surround Sound System.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
