2002 Chevy Tracker, Rwd, Soft And Hard Top, Low Low Miles, Excellant Condition on 2040-cars

Year:2002 Mileage:39500

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

For auction is our 2002 Chevy Tracker-Perferred, with only 39500 miles and a cute hard top painted silver metallic to match the truck. The hard top is a $1000.00 bonus, (less noise and dust too.)  It is the 2.0 liter DOHC 16-valve engine, with the 4 speed auto transmission with overdrive.  As you can see from the pictures, it is very clean inside and out.  The original two-piece soft convertible top still looks like new with all the zippers working, no leaks, and the plexiglass is clear.  It is include should you want to put it back on.  We also have the back cargo storage compartment or back seat tray, as you can see in the photos also. We found it nice to fold the back seat up and have more room without the tray installed.  Four new tires were put on in 2011 and they have about 8,000 miles on them.   The tires have been rotated on schedule, the oil and filter has been changed regularly. It is a rust free excellent example of these great fun little trucks. It has never been smoked in, simply runs and drives great. The window sticker list the total vehicle price as $19,105.00 as new in 2002.

Everything works including the air, power windows and radio.  The car  does not use oil, it gets good mileage around 25 MPG, and the breaks are good.  You can jump in it and drive it home.  We are the second owners, after being handed down in the first family, it has never been wrecked or damaged.

Some of the features that are on the car or some call it a truck -like me, include: a full ladder-type frame, air conditioning, cruise, tilt steering wheel, remote key-less entry,  power steering, power windows & mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, stereo radio with single CD, ‘Auto-On’ daytime running lamps, and full size lockable spare with vinyl cover.  Professionally tinted front windows. It has the small receiver hitch on the rear also.

Take a good look at the photos, if you have any questions, let me know.  Feel free to call us at 505-294-6000, if you want.  We have a clear New Mexico title and it is up for sale locally also.  No buy it now price cause, you can't find another one this nice to compare with, so good luck and bid to win.

I have disclosed all know deficits to you. It runs and drives great.  I suggest you have it inspected prior to purchasing if you have any questions.  Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
