I hate to even post this, but I am selling my 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS. It is known as the 2nd fastest production SUV out there.
6.0 LS-2 Corvette Motor AWD They are very hard to find, I searched for this truck for 2 years. I bought it with 11k miles from original owner and have been meticulous with it since then. Always serviced at 3k miles with MOBIL 1 Synthetic and always maintained by dealer. Just had the truck completely gone through and got it all serviced for the next owner! Always garaged and also adult driven. I am selling due to owning a home and needing a pick up truck. I would love to keep this truck forever, but it doesn't make sense. The interior is mint, no tears, wears, scratches rips, etc. NEVER smoked in. Options: Leather Interior Sunroof Heated Seats Memory Recall Seats/Presets WeatherTech Mats in Front, Rear and Cargo area MP3 Conversion to stock radio so you can play your Iphone/Ipod/MP3 Player Daytime Running Light kill switch installed so NO annoying DRL's Tinted Windows (Very dark, makes truck look awesome) There is absolutely nothing wrong with truck, it is the best one you'll be able to find and in unbelievable condition. Like I said, I do not want to sell. Other ones on Ebay going for much more with more miles. Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.

GM profits threatened by glut of pickups
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.

Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year.
