1976 Vega GT, 454/4speed I bought this car about 2 months ago with the intention to drive it back
and forth to work. When I bought it the guy told me how nice it was but I didn't realize it was going to be this
nice. This is a beautiful car, the attention to detail is insane, every piece of the car is perfect from the dome
light to the door buzzer, everything is perfect. I can't own this car, it's too nice! The guy took a really nice
California rust free car that has been completely restored, every piece has been rebuilt or replaced. The body
absolutely has no bondo in it and it is laser straight the color is the original with a high quality paint job. The
interior is Monza spider that has been perfectly restored with tilt wheel and a tasteful custom dash that is really
impressive. The engine is a 454 with a Crane roller cam, crane roller rocker arms, with stud girdle, titanium
retainers, 750 Dominator Holley, team G intake, all msd ignition, large tube headers that fit really well. The car
fires right up, it sounds really good, its not crazy loud it has a nice rumble I would guess it to be in the 475hp
range not radical but definitely all there. As you can imagine with a big block in a vega its really fun to drive
really doesn't hook up that well even with posi track, but to me that is part of the fun. Taking off from a
stoplight it wants to boil the tires. It has 3.08 gears so it runs down the road really well at 70, its a really
nice driving car has sway bars front and back. This guy has had a lot of vega's so he really knew what he was
doing. The car is just like you ordered it from the factory in 1976 with a 454/4speed option, how cool is that!

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
