2000 Chrysler Grand Voyager Se on 2040-cars

Year:2000 Mileage:180560
Location:

Middleburg, Pennsylvania, United States

Up for sale is a 2000 Chrysler Grand Voyager SE,  3 rd. Row seat so it can seat 7, silver with gray interior, automatic transmission, dual sliding doors, 6 cylinder engine, A/C, cruise control, pwr. windows and door locks, current inspection until 8/14, roof rack, radio with cassette and CD player but CD player is not working, A/C and heat worked good before it was parked, there is some dings and dents on the hood, and some rust on the hood as well as seen in the pictures, some rust starting along the bottom of the sliding door as pictured, NEW windshield in 2013 because there was a crack in it, tires are in fairly decent shape, I was in an accident in July, 2013 and the right front fender was hit and we replaced it with a new black fender as pictured, we also put NEW headlights in it because the right one was damaged in the accident so we replaced both headlights with NEW ones, mileage is 180,560 and the right back quarter was hit in my driveway by my daughter so that will need a rear tail light because we haven't replaced it, it has red plastic on it for now. When the rear quarter was hit I had a problem with my turn signals not working so we had them by passed and we put a toggle switch below the original turn signal switch to work the turn signals so, you have to use it for the turn signals now which is confusing, and it is pictured so you can see it.  The carpets are stained pretty bad from the previous owner, and the headliner has some burn marks on it from the previous owner as well. He hauled lawn equipment in it. We used it for some hauling too. The reason I'm selling it is because the transmission seal is leaking and since then I bought another vehicle instead of fixing it. The van runs good and it will still pull its self but when you put transmission fluid in it, it leaks back out. I WOULD NOT DRIVE IT, IT WILL NEED TOWED to prevent further damage. So it has been parked.  We never had any problems with the van it served us well and we had it to Florida and back with no issues before the seal started leaking bad. There is no warranty, I'm selling it AS-IS, we never smoked in it but I do not know if the previous owner did, this is a used van with wear and tear and dings and dents and the damage I stated above and you can see it in the pictures as well. I am trying to describe it to the best of my knowledge so hopefully I didn't miss anything so if you have any questions ask before you bid. This van is also up for sale locally too. Good Luck and thanks for bidding.

Ford and Chrysler reducing summer plant shutdowns

Wed, 22 May 2013

Most domestic automaker assembly plants traditionally take a couple of weeks off during the summer. The shutdowns give each plant time for much needed repairs and maintenance, and in some cases, help better align production with demand. Not this year, though, as demand for many models is outstripping what Ford, Chrysler and General Motors plants can produce.
Ford has announced that it will shorten its annual summer shutdown for most North American plants from two weeks to one. The shorter shutdown will increase the carmaker's annual North American production by 40,000 units on top of the 200,000 extra units that it was already planning to produce this year versus last. Automotive News reports that Ford produced 2.8 million vehicles on this continent in 2012, and that output this year has already increased 13 percent through April.
Chrysler, meanwhile, is also operating at full tilt and plans to run some plants through the summer with no shutdown at all. Those not getting a break include Jefferson North where the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango are assembled, Toledo North that will assemble the new Cherokee, and Conner Avenue, home of SRT Viper production. Other assembly plants will be down for a single week, while all of Chrysler's engine and transmission plants except one in Indiana will continue operating with no shutdown this summer.

Chrysler slows minivan production, hasn't built VW Routan this year

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Chrysler has slowed production of its Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans this week, Automotive News reports. The Windsor, Ontario plant will cut its three shifts from eight hours each to four hours each in an effort "to align production with market demand," a Chrysler spokesperson told AN. Chrysler also builds the closely related Routan minivan for Volkswagen at its Ontario facility, but has not built a single example thus far in 2013.
Sales of Chrysler's minivans fell 15 percent for the first two months of 2013, and a large part of that has to do with the 26-percent drop of the Grand Caravan alone (the T&C was only down by one percent). According to Automotive News data, as of March 1, Chrysler had an unsold inventory of 24,713 Town and Country models and 18,547 Grand Caravans - a 69- and 43-day supply, respectively.
"No sense running full speed now, then have a lot of vehicles sitting around a few months down the line," Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson told AN. Full production is expected to resume again on March 18.

Jeep hiring 1,000 part-time workers in Toledo on Wrangler, Cherokee demand

Wed, 12 Mar 2014

The new Jeep Cherokee has been quite a success for Chrysler, but its factory workers are getting tired. The automaker has agreed to hire up to 1,000 part-time, temporary employees at its Toledo Assembly Complex where the CUV and Wrangler are built. It will allow the company to keep Jeep production moving, while giving laborers a break.
According to plant manager Chuck Padden in the Toledo Blade, full-time workers are regularly taking on 60 hours a week, and it's beginning to wear on them. "To get them more time off is important to us, to make sure they're refreshed, and can work safely," said Padden.
Chrysler has already hired 380 temporary, part-time workers for the plant, and 50 have been converted to full-time employees. The company is in the process of interviewing the rest of the new hires now and plans to have all 1,000 in place by the summer. They will work between 10 and 30 hours a week mostly on weekends for $15.78 per hour with limited benefits. The temporary positions will last "as long as demand continues for the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee," said Jodi Tinson, Chrysler spokesperson for manufacturing and labor communications, to Autoblog in an email.
