Up for auction 1995 Chrysler Concorde. Family friend purchased new from dealer in October 1994. Friend gave us the car in May 2001 due to the transmission went out. My family repaired the transmission and I drove it until June 2008 when I gave it to my brother. He drove the car until October 2013 when he gave it back to me. We both used the car to commute to work. I have two cars now and no longer need this one. Here is the good: Averaged 23 mpg during commuting. Radiator, A/C compressor have been replaced within the last 3 years All power windows, mirrors and door locks work. No tears in the leather seats Have both keyless entry remotes Has the Infinity sound package No major dents in the body, paint in very good shape Premium wheels Here is the NOT so good: Engine has been overheating. Not sure what the cause is. Therefore the car would need to be towed to avoid any issues. A/C will need to be recharged Radio doesn't work Driver power seat isn't working. Passenger side works fine Hood has small dents in front edge due to family friend wasn't paying attention while stopped at a light and rolled under a truck. It's still a decent car and I don't want to junk it. However, car is sold as is. It would be a great buy for a mechanic who has the ability to repair the car. Payment in the form of cash, U.S. Postal money ordered (must come from post office) or certified cashier's check from local bank will be accepted. Small number of 2013 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger models recalled
Sun, 24 Feb 2013A small number of units of the 2013 Chrysler 200 (inset) and 2013 Dodge Avenger are being recalled over a broken control valve in the fuel tank assembly. The potential 1,785 sedans were manufactured late last year, and if affected with a broken control valve could suffer from stalling or fuel leakage.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes that the recall should begin next month, at which time owners can take their cars to dealers for repair free of charge. The full release with more information is just below.
Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.
Volkswagen Routan dead one last time
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Volkswagen halted production of the Routan minivan in late 2012 due to low sales volume, but there were reports swirling around that it would live on and continue production alongside the closely related Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan. But now VW says that it will indeed stop Routan production for good, The Detroit Bureau reports.
As of our report in March, VW hadn't built a single Routan in 2013, and we can't imagine things have gotten much better for the minivan since then. The Detroit Bureau reports that VW produced some 2014 Routans, but they aren't for sale to the public - they are fleet-only affairs.
VW originally intended to sell between 45,000 and 50,000 Routans per year, but since it was introduced for the 2009 model year, annual sales of the minivan have averaged only 11,500 units. VW has sold 57,683 Routans total.
