This car is in great shape for its age! I love driving it, however, I have moved to the woods and I need a Jeep. I bought this car a year and a half ago. There are several minor issues with the car that need to be fixed; I will take those issues into consideration when determining the minimum bid I will accept. The car is located in Western Massachusetts and I can deliver it anywhere in the U.S. (driven or on a flat bed) for just "actual costs" reimbursement.

The following issues need to be fixed:

Passenger side window goes down but only closes intermittently (about a $200 fix);
Tire pressure sensor warning light and "Check Engine" light are on, however, they have been fixed. I put a new tire sensor in and the 02 sensor was reconnected. Only a Chrysler dealership can reset the warning lights (so I am told);
The passenger side door handle has some depression marks in it;
The driver's side window washer fluid tank has a hole in it and needs to be replaced; and
The cup holder is broken.

I estimate that about $800 to $1,000 will have the car back in "like new" condition. Please note that the car has brand new performance tires all around and it has a current State Inspection sticker. Cosmetically, short of the above issues, the car is in perfect cosmetic condition! Please email me with any questions. I will consider all serious offers.

Fiat to list on New York Stock Exchange?

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Citing the ever-nebulous "two sources close to Fiat," Reuters is reporting that the Italian automaker and owner of the Chrysler brand is likely to list itself on the New York Stock Exchange. The move could reportedly happen as soon as 2015, marking the end, at least in the minds of investors, of Fiat's 115-year base in Turin, Italy.
The Italian government is not likely to react favorably to Fiat's potential move from Italy to the United States, despite initially positive reactions to Fiat's landmark final purchase of Chrysler, the third-largest automaker in the US. Fiat spent $3.65 billion to buy out the 41.46-percent stake in Chrysler that had been owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA trust fund.
With little sign of a swift European recovery, Fiat has little choice but to focus on markets outside its traditional home, and a listing in New York could potentially be a boon for investors. According to International Strategy and Investment analyst George Galliers, speaking to Reuters, "People [would be] more likely to think of the entity in the same context as they do Ford and GM" if it were listed on the NYSE.

Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?

Merged Fiat-Chrysler HQ will be in London

Fri, 09 May 2014

You won't be seeing Sergio Marchionne in his famous sweaters running day-to-day operations of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles from Michigan. Although, he won't be doing it from Italy, either. The FCA CEO recently announced that the company's corporate headquarters would be located in London.
"Headquarters will be in London. It's clear that group executive functions, the board, my office, some of my functions, need to operate out of London, but that doesn't mean that I'm giving up my operational responsibilities of the US," said Marchionne to Automotive News at a press conference.
When the creation of FCA was announced, the company said its tax domicile would be in the United Kingdom. But it gave no specific location at that time. The business is still keeping most of the details under wraps.
