1975 Chrysler Imperial 4-door Hardtop (lebaron) on 2040-cars
Piketon, Ohio, United States
1975 Imperial LeBaron 4-door hardtop, 70,907 original miles 1975 was the last year for the big Imperial. I've owned the car for about 8 years (had about 65,000 miles on it then) and it has mostly been garage-kept. I intended to restore the car, but life has a nasty way of getting me to put hobby work on the backburner and with my research travel, this will be another summer without having much time to work on the car. Car is a 25-footer (has little scrapes and dings); Car shines up nicely; It runs good (drove it 17 miles before I began putting this ad together), tranny shifts as it should; Interior is acceptable (leather seats are fairly nice, stitching on top of rear seat is coming apart and driver's seat shows wear); Headliner is pretty nice. Carpet is very good. Undercarriage is good for the car's age; Vinyl top is shrinking (a new aftermarket vinyl top that the buyer can install will come with the car). Chrome is good, but have small flaws. Brakes are recent (put on about 3,000 miles ago); New fuel pump put in about 2,000 miles ago; New fuel filter 500 miles ago; New distributor, spark plugs and wires put on about 300 miles ago. Tranny flush about 4,000 miles ago. Has aftermarket AM/FM cassette radio. A/C worked last summer and blew cold (has been refitted for the new kind of Freon), but is not working now (I think it may be a relay) Power windows, seats, and door locks not working (they all did last year); again I believe it needs a few new relays (my pacemaker doesn't allow me to work with electricity so I can't be sure). Tires are OK, but probably need replacing in the next 3 or 4 thousand miles. The little rust that there is appears to be just light surface rust. Two factory service manuals (a little beaten up and a few pages are missing) will come with the car. Want more details or pictures?, contact me through eBay. Car is sold "as is" and no warranty or guarantee is given by the seller. I ONLY ACCEPT BIDS FROM THE U.S.A --do not bid if you reside in another country. Car is located near Piketon, Ohio (85 miles south of Columbus, Ohio); arrangements can be made for potential bidders to come and inspect the car. Winning bidder is required to put a $300 deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of the auction's close. Car must be picked up within 10 days of the auction's close. Shipping/pick-up is the responsibility of the buyer. |

Chrysler IPO to be filed as early as this week
Mon, 16 Sep 2013An initial public offering for the Chrysler Group could happen this week, following Sergio Marchionne's comments to Financial Times in London, according to a report from The Detroit News. Fiat, which owns 58.5 percent of Chrysler, has been in a battle with the UAW retiree healthcare trust over its minority stake in the company. While the automotive union recognizes its role as a temporary shareholder, the two couldn't come to an agreement on how the shares should be priced.
As Marchionne explained to FT, a Chrysler IPO allows the market, rather than the two competing sides, to determine the value of the shares. The public offering is a risky move, which could potentially hang one side out to dry - if the shares go high, it's bad news for Fiat, but if they go low, the UAW stands to lose. Regardless of where the stock prices go in an IPO, though, it's a move that's being supported by analysts, who are quick to cite Chrysler's near-constant growth and a product lineup that is getting healthier with each new introduction.
Ferrari to be spun off from Fiat Chrysler
Wed, 29 Oct 2014The recently merged Fiat Chrysler Automobiles empire has ambitious plans for growth, and it's going to need some big bucks in its coffers in order to enact them. Part of that cash injection is coming from the floating of its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, but now FCA has announced a further capital campaign to be based on the enormous asset that is Ferrari.
FCA's board of directors has just approved the separation of Ferrari from the rest of the group as a separate entity. Once that separation is complete, Ferrari will put 10 percent of its shares on the stock market "in the United States and possibly a European exchange" as well.
This isn't the first time that the idea of a Ferrari IPO has been raised. Sergio Marchionne, chief executive of Chrysler, Fiat and Ferrari (pictured above), first raised the idea four years ago. Former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo nixed the idea, but now that he's been discharged, it appears there's nothing to get in the way of Marchionne's desires.
