1985 Chrysler Lebaron Mark Cross Convertible 2-door 2.2l on 2040-cars
Kapaa, Hawaii, United States
Only 595 of these built in production year 1985. This car had a 1996 restoration by a previous owner, new paint, faux wood, and top. I purchased this car out of Las Vegas 2 years ago and had it shipped to Hawaii. I own a 84 also and with my other cars am experiencing parking issues. I have several thousand $ invested in this car and have had all work done by the Chrysler dealership and professional mechanics. Replaced timing belt, rack and pinion steering, fuel pump, CV shaft assembly, vacuum hoses, rear windows operation, new battery, tires and more. When engine is cold, I need to let in warm up for a couple minutes or it will die out when put in gear. I rarely drive it, and it has set for weeks without use. Otherwise, it drives great and everything works. All my records are available. Wire spoke wheel covers shown and additional sets come with the car. It has always been covered in the time I have owned it. This car is a real attention getter and fun to drive. I can deliver the car to the Matson port for shipping. Although I am not a mechanic, please contact me with questions. This car may be sold locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.

Chrysler Town & Country plug-in hybrid minivan coming in 2015
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Among the multitude of models that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced as part of its five-year production plan in May was a plug-in hybrid version of the Town & Country minivan for sometime in 2016. However, according to the latest pronouncement from company CEO Sergio Marchionne, that timetable may have been moved forward quite a bit.
Marchionne told Automotive News at the Paris Motor Show that the PHEV minivan would now be launching in late 2015. That strategy does seem a bit confusing, though, because the next-gen platform for the T&C isn't supposed to hit the road until sometime in 2016, according to the plan. So it's not clear whether the boss means the PHEV rides on the current chassis or if the new model is going on sale early.
The technology underpinning the new plug-in hybrid has been shrouded in mystery. However, during the five-year plan meeting, FCA claimed the model could earn fuel economy figures around 75 mpge. Chrysler previously tested a 25-unit fleet of them as part of a demonstration test in Auburn Hills, MI, in 2012, but that didn't go so well.
Chrysler museum to open one last time on June 8
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Due to a lack of funding, Chrysler closed the doors to its Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, MI back in December, but it sounds like the facility will be open next month for one last hurrah. According to a report in the Detroit Free Press, the Chrysler Museum will be open to the public one last time on June 8 for the annual Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association car show.
While the car show will take place in the museum's parking lot from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on June 8 with a theme dedicated to muscle cars past and present, all attendees will be able to be among the last people to tour the museum - with free admission. The museum is known for housing some of the more important production and concept cars from Chrysler's history. Check out the car show's flyer for more information.
Ram helps power Chrysler to 11% gain in May
Mon, 03 Jun 2013Increasing consumer demand for Ram pickup trucks and big SUVs has helped to boost May sales for Chrysler. Ram sales were up a total of 24 percent year-over-year for the month of May. In addition, Dodge sales increased by 23 percent in May, with the standout Durango clocking a 24-percent year-over-year improvement (with an updated 2014 model in the wings, incentives are thick on the ground for 2013 inventory). Fiat and Jeep were up only a modest one percent, however, and Chrysler brand sales were down by two percent against last year's figures.
Chrysler is quite pleased overall with brand performance, saying that this May marks the company's strongest in the past six years. It was also the 38th consecutive month showing year-over-year sales gains.
Eight of the automaker's vehicles set sales records for May, as well: Jeep Wrangler and Compass, Dodge Avenger and Challenger, Fiat 500, Chrysler 200 and Ram pickups. Scroll down to read more detail in Chrysler's press release.
