1st Edition!!! Year 1!!! She is a collector's piece and is numbered 4051 out of a run of only 6400 vehicles made - badged on the dash. She is a beautiful actual Hemi Orange - the only year to get that particular color. There have been no holes drilled in the front to accommodate license plate brackets - I could never bring myself to do that to her. This is an immaculate car. She has very low miles. She has an authentic Hennessey SRT600 package which is a supercharger and intercooler system (with aftermarket fuel rails, 180 degree thermostat, and full exhaust) that makes 600 hp. She sounds amazing. It's a pleasure to hear the supercharger whining as she goes down the road. She is sure to turn heads no matter where she rolls. She has custom, wide chrome 5 spoke rims with Nitto Invo tires with lots of tread left. I also have a silver set of 5 spoke aftermarket rims that will accompany the sale. 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T hits the Redline
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Dodge has added a bit of spice to its Hemi-powered Challenger for 2013, offering up this new Redline package that makes its official debut at the Chicago Auto Show. The R/T Redline builds on the Rallye Redline kit that was created for the V6 Challenger, and we like how these subtle changes add to the muscle coupe's already classic styling.
In addition to the black chrome 20-inch wheels with red accents, the R/T Redline adds subtle graphics along the beltline. Inside, cars equipped with the six-speed manual transmission get a performance tuned exhaust that allows the engine to send a full 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. (Redline Challengers with the five-speed automatic produce 372 hp and 400 lb-ft.)

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
