NO RESERVE AUCTION.  This is a real show car. This is the nicest 73 challenger I have ever seen. The car is a factory Ralley car, that has been redone. The owner is selling the car due to health issues. The motor is a 360 that has been gone through less than 5 miles ago. the original 340 is long gone. The motor runs really great, and is real good on gas. Everything under the hood has been redone to show, everything and looks like show condition and is new, just look at the pics. The trans has been rebuilt, and has a $3200 overdive unit in it, by Gear Venders. The converter is a 3340 stall and shifts great. The rear gears are 373. The braking system is all new from front to back. The car has a stainlees steel exhaust system. mechaniclly this car needs nothing, drive it anywere. It has an electronic ignition, that is all new. The paint on the car is great it has some small bubbling at the bottom not from rust but from setting I have the paint to fix it. The paint is so nice that they even wet sanded and buffed under the hood. The paint is WOW. The trunk is all painted the color of the car and has the jack and spare tire in it, with a CD changer in the trunk. The trunk is even detailed. The interior is like brand new, it even has the pistil grip shifter in it, the sound system works great. The heater works, wipers ect. The glass is in great shape and is tinted. The chrome on the car looks new, and even the lenses are new, they even repaced the head light rings with new chrome ones. There is a lot more to the car im sure im missing somethng. The car runs great and idiles great at a stop. Allmost everything on this car is new. If you have any ? please call 419-571-9777 You can drive this car straight into any car show and be proud of it. Weekly Recap: New bosses try to jump-start Cadillac and Lincoln

Sat, 26 Jul 2014

Both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
It's ironic that Cadillac and Lincoln got new bosses within days of each other this month. It's also a commentary on the fact both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.

Dodge lets us drive 100-years' worth of history [w/videos]

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.

2014 Dodge Durango

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Say what you want about the Dodge Durango, but ever since it came on the scene in 1998, it has occupied its own niche in the SUV market - not too small, not too big, tough, able, not always the best on the road and not always the best off-road. If it were a football player, it would be a tight-end that can block and catch. If it were a hamburger - a double burger with cheese and bacon, but not the Whopper.
As part of a mid-cycle upgrade for what was already a very capable SUV that Chrysler introduced in 2011, and built on the same platform as the Mercedes GL-Class and Jeep Grand Cherokee, the 2014 Durango has gotten some refinements worth noting that have cleaned up its tailoring and toned up its body and powerplant. The result is an SUV that shows itself to be a very good value in a category full of sticker prices that can run away faster than a kid who's been told he has to take ballroom dancing lessons.
Chrysler executives showing us the new Durango made a special point to reiterate that the Dodge brand is not going away, as has been rumored after the company took the Ram and Viper - the cream of the brand - out from under the Dodge umbrella. Turns out Dodge has been the brand attracting the most young people (who knew?) and has a younger average age buyer than Honda. The Dodge brand historically has also attracted buyers who aren't exactly Phi-Beta Cappa, which some companies worry about. Chrysler not so much. Dodge buyers tend to be more the working, high-school-educated, community-college-educated backbone of the work force in America. If they keep coming to Dodge, the Durango is a pretty good piece of hardware to save up for.
