I have owned this seasoned restored 67 RT for about 2 years now. I never did get an opportunity to speak with the
gentleman who restored the car but it was done to a very high level with a lot of attention paid to details. It was
restored about 15 or so years ago and it still appears crisp and fresh, only minor paint touch ups over the years
and zero rust anywhere. Dark blue exterior ,black interior and stunning white vinyl top. All chrome and stainless
very nice. Very detailed top and bottom.
Period correct c440 block with 906 heads (a set of 915 heads go with the car) , fully overhauled at the time along
with the 727 trans , the trans sports a mild shift kit and the combo has no trouble breaking the tires on a 1 -2
shift through the 3.23 sure grip differential. Engine is freshly detailed and looks sharp, oe intake and original
4327s carter carburetor that was replated and rebuilt. Fired off by Mopar electronic ignition. Sound travels
through factory exhaust manifolds, hemi mufflers and GTX style slash tips. Sounds very strong.
Interior is very clean,

2013 Dodge Dart GT
Mon, 16 Dec 2013My younger brother bought a Dodge Dart earlier this summer. It's a basic SXT, in Maximum Steel Metallic, with the 2.0-liter engine, a six-speed automatic transmission and not a whole lot else. Unfortunately, at the time, the Dart was one of the few cars in the compact class I'd never driven. I didn't know a lot about it, and therefore, didn't have a lot to say when he bought it. I think the words "based on an Alfa," popped out when I first saw it.
As it turns out, he's grown quite fond of the dark gray sedan, so it was with some degree of enthusiasm that I paid him a visit in this bright-orange Dart GT. I was excited to see what it was about the Dart that he enjoyed so much, despite my tester featuring a different engine, transmission and a lot more tech. After a week with the car, though, I must say: I don't quite see what all the fuss is about.
Driving Notes
Dodge Challenger returns to Trans Am
Fri, 15 Aug 2014NASCAR's Nationwide Series may have switched (in appearance anyway) to muscle cars, but American racing fans know that if they want to see real muscle cars on the street circuits, the only place to look is Trans Am. The all-American racing series is packed with Mustangs, Camaros and even Corvettes. The one thing it's been missing is the Dodge Challenger, but now SRT Motorsports has announced it's bringing its muscle car back where it belongs.
Rather than waiting until next year, the Miller Racing team is switching mid-season to the new Dodge Challenger SRT Trans Am racer you see here, just in time for this weekend's race at Mid-Ohio. And not just that - it's lined up a compelling pair of drivers to pilot it, as well.
The No. 11 car will be driven by Trans Am legend Tommy Kendall, a four-time series champion who's been off the grid since 2004. Backing him up in the No. 1 Challenger will be none other than Cameron Lawrence, the driver who has won five out of six races in the Chevy Camaro so far this season, losing out only once to American racing scion Adam Andretti.
Indications of 825 hp and emissions issues for Hellcat called 'speculation' by Chrysler
Tue, 16 Sep 2014The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is probably one of the hottest cars of the moment mostly because of its insane, 707-horsepower supercharged V8. However, there are conflicting reports coming out that the powerplant might be having problems with its emissions compliance and may be capable of even more power.
Jalopnik says that an unnamed source within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles told it that the Hellcat was having problems meeting emissions standards at its 707-horsepower tune. The person claimed that the automaker has been testing the V8 with different types of sensors, possibly to make it a bit cleaner in the future. Autoblog spoke to SRT spokesperson Dan Reid, and he said about the claimed poor emissions, "It's totally speculation."
The source also claimed that the Hellcat had been dynoed at a monumental 825 horsepower, internally. Based on the other rumor, though, it's hard to imagine the engine being emissions compliant like that. Autoblog also asked Reid about this speculation about more power and was told, "They are totally speculating about that."
