This is my 1970 Dodge Coronet 440 for sale. It has a 318 Engine, and is a 4 door. I shaved the rear outside door handles to make it look more sporty like a 2 door....see pictures. Of course both rear doors can be opened from the inside, but you never have to worry about locking them. Also the advantage of a 4 door like this is the fact that the doors are not nearly as heavy as a 2 door, thus they will never sag or have trouble closing them.
The car runs near perfectly, with the exception of a bit of crackling while going uphill which is from a bit of lack of lead since gas stations no longer carry leaded gas. Although I add lead additive at every fill up, it may need a little more for the first couple of fill ups. When on  level terrain there is nothing but the purring of the awesome sounding engine. Also, the charge of the alternator is high, not sure why, but it does not affect the engine performance at all. See picture. This car has great pick up, and runs great in the city and highway. The engine was rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago, and it is really a smooth runner! Because of the engine being rebuilt, the mileage listed above shows whats on the dashboard, but is really exempt on the title. All gauges, lights and blinkers work fine.
The body is pretty much straight without rust except where the pictures show the passenger front corner panel damage. The hood is a bit tough to shut, and has to be pushed in as you are shutting it because of that corner panel. I was the victim of a hit and run unfortunately. Pictures show the damage to that corner panel. The paint is pealing slightly in a few places such as around the door handles and part of the front corner panel, but can only be seen up close. All 4 tires still have original hub caps, and have plenty of tread. The original radio is still in the dash. Not sure if it works, or the condition of the speakers. Much of the interior was vinyl painted sandstone/beige color, like the dashboard and doors. A couple minor cracks in the dashboard, but overall decent for a car of this age. Seat covers are on the front and back seats. I believe the interior is decent underneath, but I put the seat covers on because they match the beige color of most of the other interior. Seats are bench seats, and the head rests for the front seat are in the trunk with covers on them as well. All 4 tires have a decent amount of tread on them.
Battery, belts, alternator, and voltage regulator are all brand new. Vehicle includes spare tire and Jack. Very minor surface rust in the trunk.
Any questions please don't hesitate to ask! Thank you.

How to turn a Dodge airport tug into a trail slayer

Sun, 16 Nov 2014

Sometimes, having a ton of fun requires takes a ton of work. Just nine days before the so-called Ultimate Adventure 2014, the folks behind 4-Wheel & Off-Road had 40 tasks to complete in order to turn the ratty truck pictured above into a machine that could excel on treacherous off-road trails while still being able to handle highway jaunts. Much of process behind the build was chronicled on the latest episode of Dirt Every Day.
The team's vehicle started life as a 1990 Dodge tug truck that spent part of its life hauling around airplanes. The builders hung on to the Cummins six-cylinder diesel, but they tossed out practically everything else for the project, with some seriously heavy-duty replacement parts for the transmission, transfer case, axles and a whole lot more. The process was certainly a ton of work, but the end result looks like a fantastic crawler.
Sure, it might have been easier to bring a truck that was already prepared, but where would the fun in that have been? Stay tuned until the end of the video for a few glimpses of the completed Dodge and peek at some of the punishment it goes through.

2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Wed, 29 Oct 2014

Including all-wheel-drive models, there are ten versions of the 2015 Dodge Charger. The tenth variant - better described as the ten-tenths variant and the topmost model - is this Charger SRT Hellcat.
Superficially, you already know what it is: take the massively powerful Hellcat engine that's Frankensteined into the Dodge Challenger and stitch it into the recently facelifted Charger sedan.
Oh, but that would be superficial knowledge indeed. Russ Ruedisueli, vehicle line executive and head engineer for SRT, claims the Charger Hellcat is, "The industry's most irreverent four-door supercar." We looked up the word "irreverent" in the Oxford dictionaries, and it turns out the word doesn't mean "707 horsepower," nor "650 pound-feet of torque" nor "3.7-second 0-60 time, and seats five adults." It does mean, "Showing a lack of respect for people or things that are generally taken seriously."

Saleen SA-30 Mustang, Camaro and Challenger help celebrate the big 3-0

Fri, 22 Nov 2013

After 30 years of tuning performance cars and building racecars, Saleen is celebrating its racing heritage with a limited-production car line called SA-30. Based on the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, Saleen will only build 10 of each SA-30 model at a base price of $95,000.
For that money, buyers will get upgraded suspension, brakes and engines, and while the power figures have not been released for the SA-30 620 Camaro and SA-30570 Challenger models, the SA-30 302 Mustang will be the top performer with 625 horsepower. Each car will be painted up in a custom pearl white hue with black and yellow accents, and get white wheels shrouding yellow powder-coated brake calipers. Inside, the SA-30 offerings will all get a proper Saleen interior with black leather and white Alcantara on the seats, along with the expected smattering of SA-30 badges.
On all three SA-30 models, customers will have various options available to further customize their cars, including a rear-seat delete option that transforms each car's cabin into a race-inspired interior with a chassis-strengthening rear cross brace. Perhaps the coolest feature of all, though, is the Saleen Frost-Touch Glass that is an option on the SA-30 302 Mustang. Similar to the Mercedes Sky Control roof first introduced on the Mercedes SLK, the Saleen Frost-Touch Glass allows the Mustang's optional glass roof and rear window to be switched from transparent to opaque at the push of a button.
