DONT GET ME WRONG I SAID UNRESTORED AND IS A EASY RESTO JOB .YOU WILL SEE BY MY PICTURES . .SO LET S START AT THE FRONT PASSENGER FENDER WAS REPLACED LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE HAD A FENDER ONLY BENDER INSIDE WHEEL WELL IS FINE JUST SHEET METAL DAMAGE I DO HAVE A REPLACEMENT FENDER THAT IS IN NEED OF SOME WORK . I HAVE TWO GRILLS TO DO AWAY WITH INNER HEAD LIGHTS .HOOD HAS A DENT IN THE PASS CORNER BUT CAN BE STRAIGHTEN. FIRE WALL AND INNER FENDER WELLS ARE GREAT BOTH DOORS HAVE SOME DENTS I WAS GOING TO MAKE THIS CAR A ALTERED WHEEL BASE OR GASSER SO I HAVE TWO SEDAN DOORS THAT DO NEED SOME WORK . CAR HAS A 8-3/4 REAR UNDER IT FROM THE FACTORY . Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Chrysler recalls 350k vehicles over ignition switches
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Chrysler has announced a recall covering 349,442 vehicles due to ignition switches that can either become stuck or move without warning. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2008 model year, and were built before May 12, 2008.
The automaker has learned that ignition keys on some vehicles "may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position during engine-startup," the company said in a statement. Additionally, "an ignition key may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position and may inadvertently move through the 'ON' position to 'ACCESSORY' or 'OFF.'"
Chrysler says it is unaware of any related injuries, and notes that while reduced braking, engine or steering power is possible in such instances, the airbags are not affected. The later stands in contrast to General Motors' recent rash of high-profile recalls, and it's an important distinction that Chrysler (understandably) felt necessary to call out in bold print in its press release.
Dodge offers 100 years of solid advice in new ad
Fri, 18 Apr 2014This is a cool ad. Dodge, which is celebrating its centennial this year, recruited some of its peers to see what you should and shouldn't do in life. Of course, some are obvious - don't complain, learn from your mistakes and live for now.
Then again, some are less obvious. Some, actually, are downright awesome. Towards the end, each piece of advice is interspersed with clips of Dodge's redesigned Challenger smoking its tires. Really, this ad feels like it'd be worthy of a Super Bowl spot. This commercial's personal nature is really in keeping with some of the big game's most interesting ads, like the Imported From Detroit commercial, the Farmer ad and Maserati's surprise clip from this year's game.
