Up for auction at "No Reserve" is a 2001 Dodge Dakota SLT 4x4. It does need some mechanical work. The body of the truck is still in good condition with the miles that it has on. It has some rust that is appearing but no major repairs. I purchase the truck several years ago with 167k with a bad engine and replaced the engine with a new one at the time. I replaced the transmission with one that had 24k. The truck runs great and no problems with the 4x4. It does come with the hard tonneau cover and a bedliner. Please review all the photos.

Here are the repairs needed.

*Windshield needs to be replaced. It has a crack down the pillar of the passenger side and runs at the bottom of the window towards the driver side.

*Driver mirror has a crack.

*Surface rust on the rockers but no holes, bubble in the hood, driver fender and driver door. I have a used tailgate (gold) with no rust I will include. A $250 value.

*The A/C condensor which is new just needs a recharge. It was replaced during the winter. The bearing failed on the old one.

*The brake line on the driver rear has rusted and is caped at the master cylinder to make it drivable. I would suggest to replace all the break lines. I will include "new rear drums and pads".

* There is a small thud on the driver front wheel when you hit a small bump in the pavement.

Thanks for taking the time reading this auction. If you have any questions, please email me.

Highest bid wins at no reserve.

Dodge bringing revamped Challenger, Charger to Big Apple

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

The 2014 New York Auto Show will be a big one for Dodge, as the brand has announced that refreshed versions of the 2015 Challenger and 2015 Charger will debut at the show. This is a particularly big deal for the two-door Challenger which, visually, has remained unchanged since is burst back onto the scene in 2008 and helped reignite the muscle car wars.
As a sort of hint, this announcement was accompanied by the picture you see above - the Super Bee logo in the Challenger's new instrument cluster. According to Dodge, the New York debut of a new "powertrain combination" - possibly with the high-output Hellcat V8 - will leave enthusiasts "abuzz."
As for the Charger, Dodge is promising a full redesign that should be a significant departure from the blunt, angry looks of the current model. At this point, there's no indication that the Challenger's new powertrain could be fitted to the Charger, although considering how mechanically similar these two vehicles have been, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.

NHTSA investigating Ram 1500 models for rear differential failure

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and its Ram brand following a number of reports regarding the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. According to 15 consumer complaints, the trucks' rear differential locked up while in other cases, the driveshaft separated at its connection to the diff.
Nearly half of the reports claim the truck was traveling at or above 50 miles per hour, while two consumers reported that the diff lockup/driveshaft separation sent their pickups into a spin. Most troubling, though, is that consumers reported little to no sound indicating there was a problem with their truck.
We reached out to Ram for additional information, such as how many vehicles may be affected or what equipment might be fitted that could cause the issue. Unfortunately, the company wasn't willing to elaborate on specifics.
