1989 Dodge Dakota Sport 2 wheel Drive pickup with snug top bed cover. The convertible top is in good condition and function properly. The truck runs very well and only has 100,180 miles, I am driving it to work so this may change slightly. The engine doesn't smoke runs smoothly is quiet and uses no oil between changes. The truck has the Shelby interior which is in nice condition. I was told the first 100 of these pickup got the Shelby interior. The dash has one small crack on the passenger side. The transmission is automatic with overdrive and works well. The paint is in good condition except some peeling on the tailgate. The body is very straight and it has never been in an accident. The driver side window is broken. I have a replacement from a regular Dakota that is a little different, but can be cut by a glass shop to fit. The truck has a clean title, recently installed new fuel pump and filter, the truck had been unused for a couple years and on non op. we have paid the fees up to date and it has a clean title. It is and interesting truck as not may were made in the two years of production and draws a lot of attention. The top is very easy to operate and can be lowered without get out of you seat. Fun truck I have been using it for work and it drives really well has centerline wheels and the BF Goodrich tires have 90% of the tread left, There is no rust anywhere, the air conditioner blows cold the heater and original infinity stereo disc player work perfectly.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

Dodge celebrates big B-day with 100th Anniversary Editions muscle cars

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Being in business for 100 years is a HUGE milestone, so we hope Dodge has more in mind to celebrate its centennial than just a special edition package for the 2014 Charger and Challenger. Called the 100th Anniversary Edition package, this collection of cosmetic enhancements will be available in limited quantities for both cars at a cost of $2,500.
Ordering a Charger or Challenger with the 100th Anniversary Edition package means starting with either a V6-powered SXT Plus or V8-powered R/T Plus model. They can each be ordered in many colors, but only the High-Octane Red Pearl Coat above is an anniversary exclusive. Each car also comes with an anniversary-exclusive set of 20-inch, five-spoke wheels with what Dodge calls "Granite Crystal pockets," a texture that's also mirrored on each car's grille.
Of course, there are commemorative badges galore affixed to the exterior of each car, including "Dodge Est. 1914" fender badges and "100" logos on the center caps of each wheel. The styling theme of each car's interior is a bit more interesting, with Dodge designers trying to evoke "the patina and machinist legacy of John and Horace Dodge," the company's founders. To that end, the leather interior can be had in Molten Red or Foundry Black Nappa, and each features a custom cloud overprint that makes the hide look like a working man's dirty dungarees. Designers also used brass-colored accent stitching on the interior's leather trim pieces, and affixed more "Dodge Est. 1914" badges to the front seat backs and floor mats. We do like the flat-bottomed steering wheel, and the Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition gets exclusive white gauges faces and the Charger black. The "100" on each car's speedometer is also highlighted in red.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat #0001 raises $825,000 for charity

Sun, 28 Sep 2014

$60,000 doesn't strike us as a lot to pay for a muscle car with 707 horsepower on tap. $825,000... now that's a different story. But, according to the official SRT blog, that's how much one generous and eager buyer paid for the privilege of getting his (or her) hands on the very first new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Decked out in Stryker Red paint that's usually reserved for the Viper, the supercharged Challenger bearing the VIN 0001 went up for auction at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino in Las Vegas on Saturday under the auspices of Barrett-Jackson. By the time bidding ended, the gavel dropped at $825,000 - nearly 14 times the sticker price - 100 percent of which will benefit Opportunity Vehicle, a charity that aids the intellectually handicapped in the Las Vegas Area.
