1971 Dodge Demon original California car. Factory numbers matching 225 slant 6 with column shift 904 automatic bench seat. Has factory equipped A/C, power steering, and manual drum brakes. Soft ray tinted glass(drivers door glass is missing) all other glass in great shape couple rock chips in windshield. Just installed freshly rebuilt 904 automatic and cleaned and painted original 225 leanin tower of power this week. Engine runs strong with no smoke minor exhaust leak on exhaust manifold but no fluid leaks of any kind anywhere from front to rear! Car has never been repainted in 43 years has all it's original panels with no patchwork anywhere still has original Demon stickers in place. Has through rust in spare tire well in the trunk and minor amount on lower rear sections of rear quarter panels otherwise rust free(not talking about surface rust in trunk and floors which is easily converted with por-15). Has cutouts in decklid for braces to install 1971 only Gull wing makes this car look tough. This is a VERY SOLID California car don't let the SURFACE RUST in the trunk deceive you! The only place a screwdriver is going through this car is the lower section of spare tire well and barely on the lower right rear quarter where small holes are visible in pictures. Chrysler recalls 350k vehicles over ignition switches
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Chrysler has announced a recall covering 349,442 vehicles due to ignition switches that can either become stuck or move without warning. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2008 model year, and were built before May 12, 2008.
The automaker has learned that ignition keys on some vehicles "may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position during engine-startup," the company said in a statement. Additionally, "an ignition key may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position and may inadvertently move through the 'ON' position to 'ACCESSORY' or 'OFF.'"
Chrysler says it is unaware of any related injuries, and notes that while reduced braking, engine or steering power is possible in such instances, the airbags are not affected. The later stands in contrast to General Motors' recent rash of high-profile recalls, and it's an important distinction that Chrysler (understandably) felt necessary to call out in bold print in its press release.
Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines
Fri, 16 Nov 2012Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.

There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that."
