NO RESERVE! BUT PRICE IS FIRM! I'M IN THE CAR ALOT MORE AS IS SO DON'T ASK OR THINK IT WILL BE RELISTED CHEAPER! This is a project car. It runs but smokes. (needs a gas tank has hole)  The trans shifts smooth with the engine not running but i don't know about when its running. The clutch engages and disengages good. The best thing about this car is its complete only thing missing is the radio. I believe the motor is the original motor. ( was a Gramma car!) So it maybe a Numbers matching car? Appears to have never been taken apart! As far as rust it has some mainly in the lower quarters behind tires. ( previous terrible patchs) and trunk> ( Spare tire well) THE FRAME RAILS AND FLOORS ARE VERY SOLID! The pictures tell the story on that. The rust is from mud, not salt. This has the usual dents and dings from being used. the front valance is toast.  This is a car from Arizona and has a clear/open Arizona title. It rolls good. The brakes work if you pump the pedal. The master cylinder leaks. The cooling system seems to not leak. I filled it with water and ran the motor a little and no leaks. I have changed the oil in this, put a new ignition switch and starter in it. All the glass is good including the windshield. What you see is what you get. Sold in AS-IS CONDITION! PRICE IS FIRM!!!! Actually getting to be a fairly rare car! And its complete! FOR SALE LOCALLY! Have right to end auction early. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING IT NOW. CONTACT ME. STARTING PRICE IS MY BOTTOM DOLLAR ON THIS CAR!

Has Dodge stepped in it again with Scat Pack lawsuit?

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

Lawsuits are an unfortunate part of doing business in just about any industry, so the latest complaint filed by a California-based aftermarket firm against Chrysler would seem to be nothing more than business as usual. But this isn't the first time the two companies have sparred over this particular issue.
According to a report from Automotive News, the dispute revolves around the Scat Pack name that Chrysler first offered on the Charger, Coronet, Dart and Super Bee starting in 1968. Scat Enterprises, a manufacturer of crankshafts and other components for Dodges and other vehicles, sued Chrysler for using its name. A few years later the Scat Pack disappeared from the Dodge catalog.
Fast forward to August 2013 when Chrysler applied to register the Scat Pack name anew. The US Patent and Trademark Office turned down Chrysler's application, but the automaker proceeded anyway, unveiling new Scat Packs for the Challenger, Charger and Dart at last year's SEMA show.

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...

I sold my Viper, but the memories I'll keep

Thu, 30 May 2013

The following is written by auto industry veteran Tow Kowaleski. The words are his own, but the memories now belong to everyone thanks to his willingness to share. If you're an industry veteran with a story to share, contact us at tipsATautoblogDOTcom.
It became the flame that started the fire of belief in the next life of Chrysler.
I just sold a car. Nothing new. Millions do it every day. But my car was a 1995 Dodge Viper, so maybe it was a bit more unique since just 12,000 were built. And like others selling a car that's been a part of the family for close to 20 years, this was a confluence of emotions for me. I was sad to see it go, but happy to have the cash and one less big, shiny, under-utilized object in my life.
