This is a 1973 dodge dart. Please look at all pictures very carefully, body has paint touch ups hear and there and small dings and minumull blistering on lower rear quarter, the worst spots of this car are the door that is in the picture, and the hood. (my guess is the hood was swaped out along the lines somewear) Other than that it is very nice, clean florida car with no rust on the bottom, runs and drives, has headers 318 motor, intake with edelbrock 600 carb. All lights work, wipers work, even the e-brake works, has 8.25 rear end open. Trunk is missing lock so I use a screwdriver, I looked it up the lock with key new are on ebay for about 20 shipped, the front glass has a crack in it that is shown in the picture, heater is missing and radio is also missing, interior is there but needs to be restored as it is weathered and stained here and there, a perfect driver or perfect to restore. Has two cherry bombs on it and all chrome is fairly nice, I would rate it 7 out of 10 for the bumpers and 9 out of 10 for the trim, front grill is perfect and not broken. Drive it home today, perfect for a street car, work on it as you dirve, or for a restoration. Im sure I am missing something so please just ask me before you bid.  All tires hold air including the spare. Car is for sale locally so I reserve right to end auction early if car sells. Has power stearing and front disc brakes, large bolt pattern wheels and front sway bar. Thank you and good luck. Very clean solid car on underside, body will need a paintjob and has a small blister under rear tail light, All problem areas are shown in the pictures. Still has factory overspray on the underside, the pictures tell it all so please look carefully. Thank you. I am open to offers if you would like to send me an offer, car does not leave untill payment is cleared, accept cash, or certified check, check still has to clear before car leaves. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup. Thank you.

Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op. Scroll down for the Chrysler press release as well as a video showing some of the speeches from the celebration.

2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit is ready to serve and protect

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

Okay speed freaks, it's time to update your cheat sheet of police headlights, as Dodge has just unveiled the new 2015 Charger sedan's police variant, the Pursuit.
Like previous Charger Pursuits, the 2015 model is based on a modified version of the civilian sedan, featuring the same basic batch of mechanicals and sheetmetal, while adding a number of items specific to the five-oh.
For 2015, cops can select from the same 3.6-ltier V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 available to the civilian population, with former turning out 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and the latter packing 370 ponies and 390 lb-ft. Even loaded down with equipment, Dodge claims the Hemi-powered cop car can hit 60 miles per hour in under six seconds, while both engines are expected return 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode). Rear-wheel drive is standard with both engines, while V8 Pursuits can be fitted with all-wheel drive.

How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.
