They were trouble free fast and fun miles. This car turns heads wherever it goes. It is a blast to drive. We just took it to Boston over the summer and it got 28.8 MPG. It doesn't get that mileage around town!!! The interior is very clean and is free of rips and tears. There is no rust on the car and the only paint work is on the back bumper cover and rear quarters. We bought the car damaged (it was rear-ended) and had it fixed so it has a branded title. Thus the very low Buy it now price. The car has the original quarter panels on it, the only parts needed to be replaced were the rear bumper cover and left rear tail light. The trunk floor / spare tire area is dented and could have been repaired/replaced but we bought the car for a fun car and to travel with. The passenger side air bag light does not go out when someone heavy sits in the seat and Chrysler says it needs a new seat sensor."

I want to repeat what I said earlier about the accident history of this car.  We have owned this car for about 6 years. We have only put 20,000 miles on it. They were trouble free, fast and fun miles. The only parts that needed to be replaced were the rear bumper cover and left rear tail light. The trunk floor / spare tire area is dented and could have been repaired/replaced but we bought the car for a fun car and to travel with. This didn't affect the way the car looked. This car is very dependable and can be driven anywhere. To show you how dependable it is...I will drive it for free to you location (once it is paid for) and in return I would like a one way, plane ticket to Lynchburg Va. airport. There is another issue that needs to be mentioned and that is that there is a little play in the steering which someone said it was an inner ball joint. If the car sells for the Buy it Now price I will fix that. It also had new rear tires 5,000 miles ago and will need new front tires soon. There are a few small scratches on the front bumper cover, and a small ding on the top of the rear hatch. The passenger side air bag light is also on and does NOT go out when a person sits in that seat. Chrysler checked it out a few years ago and said it was a seat / body sensor that needed to be replaced. This car is being sold as is, with no warranty. It has a clear, no liens,  branded Virginia title.
The bottom line is the car may not be a "trailer queen" or perfect but it is a fun, (fast) dependable  and good looking car. If you have any questions please feel free to ask them before you bid. This car is going to be sold to the highest bidder. Thanks for looking, Happy bidding and God Bless our troops and the USA!!!

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...

Dodge Challenger Scat Pack adds power and noise, with a warranty

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

If you want to go fast, there's certainly nothing wrong with the Dodge Challenger SRT8. With 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for 2014, there's certainly not much to complain about. But what if you want something more aftermarket in flavor? There's no shortage of options, but while turning to the tuner world will make your car plenty fast, that extra power won't just shred rear tires, it'll torch your warranty, as well. That's where Dodge's Scat Pack comes in.
With three stages of mods for both the 5.7 and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s Challenger (as well as the 5.7-liter Charger and, soon, the four-pot Dart), the Scat Pack cars give drivers all the power, aggression and noise of a heavily modded aftermarket car while maintaining the piece of mind provided by the Dodge warranty.
Power gets bumped up to 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque with the 6.4-liter Scat Pack, while the 5.7-liter can provide up to 58 hp and 47 lb-ft of torque to add to the stock engine's 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet. It's the latter engine that can really get some work done, with upgrades ranging from the mundane - intake and exhaust - to the racy, like the ported heads and high-flow headers.

2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Wed, 29 Oct 2014

Including all-wheel-drive models, there are ten versions of the 2015 Dodge Charger. The tenth variant - better described as the ten-tenths variant and the topmost model - is this Charger SRT Hellcat.
Superficially, you already know what it is: take the massively powerful Hellcat engine that's Frankensteined into the Dodge Challenger and stitch it into the recently facelifted Charger sedan.
Oh, but that would be superficial knowledge indeed. Russ Ruedisueli, vehicle line executive and head engineer for SRT, claims the Charger Hellcat is, "The industry's most irreverent four-door supercar." We looked up the word "irreverent" in the Oxford dictionaries, and it turns out the word doesn't mean "707 horsepower," nor "650 pound-feet of torque" nor "3.7-second 0-60 time, and seats five adults." It does mean, "Showing a lack of respect for people or things that are generally taken seriously."
